So the beatings continue until moral improves ?

Makes me laugh listening to PL fans moaning about only finishing 4th.
Are owners have no plan, continue to take court action on our behalf, seem happy to exist in L1 yet say anything against them on this forum we get either your comments above or slagged off with mentions of Wasps being the problem here.

Nice attempt at deflection there; you are and always will be regarded as a massive hypocrite. Your treatment of CCFC fans attending Sixfields was laughable considering that you now go and support a London rugby club playing in the city. If a Northampton fan had adopted CCFC as his/her second team, no doubt you'd have been full of hatred towards them as well.

P.s You really ought to get over SISU and stop playing the victim

P.P.S You should probably concentrate on working out the tricky difference between 'are' and 'our'.

Never agreed with the rent strike but agreed with them cutting costs to match our earnings.
Sort of supported them when we had the 'liquidation was better than Sisu' threads in 2012 hence the 'Sisi Is Saving Us' wind up.

Most people (Naive) supported them when they saved us from administration.

A few months ago you were complaining SISU wouldn't follow Richardsons example and 'have a punt'!

The punt would be with their money not the clubs. Never mentioned Richardson.
A cash injection (gift) when we were at the top to get us into the Championship would give them something to sell.
Slightly different to starting the season with a punt.

Hedge funds are well known for giving money away as gifts.

Doesn't matter if its a gift or not the suggestion is still to push back to unsustainable expenditure. Its that kind of chasing the dragon that go us in this mess.

It's not that some posters are critical of the franchise, it's that a lot of those same posters are never critical of our owners. You can see the difference I'm sure? Actually you're well and truly in the critical on the franchise silent on our owners camp so conveniently you probably can't /won't.

If you only use games after they moved to the Ricoh last season the average was 19,911 so the drop is even worse.

Interestingly when I had a look into other teams that had moved it seems Wasps are the only team who's attendance dropped in the second season. Not a good sign.

There also hasn't been a side that moved who managed to continue increasing the fanbase.

The only thing that matters in the long run is the bottom line.

I can't see Wasps becoming more popular unless they start winning things, they failed in a Cup bid this weekend, so that's a lucrative Wembley game they won't be getting, but there are some League playoffs coming up which it looks they'll be involved in, its all about money.

There’s no specific attendances available for prior to the move to Loftus Road however you only need to look at images of the ground at Sudbury to see they would struggle to fit more than 1K in, if that.

Interestingly in the process of checking these stats found out that prior to getting an ownership stake in Loftus Road they had already purchased land for a new ground in London. They abandoned those plans to move to Loftus Road.

While I was checking the historical average attendances for Wasps I thought I'd copy various comments I saw.

Coventry, who will travel there?
Surely the crowds will just get even smaller up there.
Dropping the london from the name and now this.
Absolute ******** if true.
They'd also struggle to bring in new home support as they're within like half hour of Leicester/Northampton, two of the strongest supported clubs in the country.
Some suggestion that Wasps were taken over in order to facilitate the procurement of the Ricoh at a knock-off price.
They're not going to get any fans.
No-one in their right mind would attempt to move them somewhere with absolutely no links to their heartland.
In the nicest possible way, I hope the club implodes entirely.
Let's just hope this is all speculation.
Utter disgrace if true.
In my heart, I feel sad.
I am devastated by the move to Coventry.
If Saracens could find a London home, there is no reason Wasps couldn't.
You can spin and say it's proper rugby country but it's someone else's proper rugby country.
I have a feeling we're going to find out that Wasps have been used in order to take control of the Ricoh.
You'd think that from a club that was so recently in a terrible place they'd know better, which adds more fuel to the 'in it for the stadium' theory.
The split base and empty stadium is going to offer one of the worst set-ups in the Premiership.
It sounds like once the Ricoh move happens things will go South, in terms of support for the club being grown from the money men, very quickly.
Well this is all thoroughly depressing.
The twitter link above did show a tweet by Andy Goode from 2 years ago saying what a "disgrace" the owners of CCFC were and that they should be "ashamed" of moving them to Northampton.
I have a feeling Wasps will end up playing to an almost empty stadium and will be even more reliant on the goodwill of their owners.
Frankly I don't believe that there isn't an appropriate site in or around London.
This could be just a brief stay.
There is no reason to believe the Cockroaches' current owners definitely couldn't have kept the club in or near London or that they have tried in the slightest.
It's about the last place you'd put a pro rugby in the country short of the Severn.
So there moving to an area, that within perfectly acceptable driving distance, there are already three premiership and two championship teams?
Judging by the reaction on twitter, I suspect he might get pelted at the next Wasps game!
Teams who are or perceived as plastic don't tend to be popular.
I am going to be very upset if this happens.
Unless by "all will become clear" he means that they are actually going to be playing home games in London somewhere then I suggest this bloke ****s himself.
Initial numbers will be OK due to the novelty, then they'll drop off afterwards.
I'd certainly hope it isn't true.
The RFU will hopefully look at the overall fan reaction and maybe have a dig around the alleged use of Wasps as a vehicle to get the Ricoh.
I don't see how not wanting to see your club move miles away from its home, probably as part of a slightly dodgy deal so the owners can get their hands on the Ricoh Arena, is not being a 'real' fan?!
It smells like suicide.
Wasps move is a huge gamble. Not so long ago they had a far better option available at Boreham Wood and dithered.
Pretty worrying.
Apparently the players weren't told - is that relevant to them suddenly putting in the worst and most disjointed performance of the season
Absolutely ****ing disgraceful frankly.
This has been in the works for 2 years supposedly.
From here on I propose that they be referred to as the Coventry Cockroaches.
Time to metaphorically wash my hands of this club.
The majority of the guys who turned up to support them at Adams Park last week will never be seen again.
Doing an MK Dons.
Oh god. This is really happening isn't it?
It's ludicrous.
Coventry City fans will be enraged at their club's rightful place being usurped by a bunch of blow ins.
Everyone there who's interested in rugby will already be Tigers/Saints/Wuss fans.
The vast majority won't make the trek regularly.
If they do go up to the midlands they should get the full MK Dons treatment.
I really hope this is just irresponsible/erroneous journalism.
Just a matter of whether Wasps stay there long enough to build up a real local base, as that could take a few years of poorer attendances.
There are going to be a lot of angry people if this turns out to be true.
The comparison to MK Dons (*shudder*) is a very sad but very apt one.
I would love to be a fly on the wall when Wasps argue for a West Midlands recruiting area for their academy.
I'm incredibly, incredibly angry that this is going to happen.
I hope they go to the wall.
Moving an existing side to the area (especially one as well known as wasps) isn't going to get too many people supporting them.
They will alienate their entire old fan base.
I'm fuming.
Here are many other sites that are eminently more sensible.
Wasps were taken over just to get the Ricoh at a knock down price.
They will be disliked and have no roots.
They will rattle around in that ground.
I use the term MK Dons as an insult and moral judgement.
Please, no.
Wasps is a West London Club, it should stay in the Boundaries.
Wasps need to be careful here they don't get seen a plastic team.
Best case scenario is that they get 8000ish after a few years and become a consistently bottom 4 Premiership club.
**** you and goodnight, Wasps.
I’m really sad about this as i have really close ties to the club, so i'm hugely dissappointed they will be heading out of the immediate vicinity of London.
