Going to book a season ticket again for car parking at the Ricoh for 2017/18. Was in Car Park C last season, but thinking of changing to A or B this time. What are other fans experience of A/B, do they still keep you in for a good while after the match or can you get away reasonably quickly now?

I used car park A last year and will again this year.
No real issues getting out especially as our attendances are falling I don't predict any such troubles again.

I've not seen or heard who are selling them this year and prices yet. Not sure if it's the Ricoh, or APCOA again.

I use car park B. Aslong as you don't stay behind (casino etc), the middle gate onto the a444 is opened and controlled by lights (part time lights). I've never once been caught up for longer than 30seconds - 1 minute!

Used to park in C. Lights are probably slower getting out of there and everyone seemed to make up their own rules.

Only difference is the price (if there's still a difference in price that is)

Agree with this. It's a pretty quick getaway from B

If you book a season ticket to the car park, do you have to go in the same car to each game?

Officially, yes. However, now the system works on a number plate reader, so the reg can be changed (we changed mine a couple of times last year when I had an urge to change my car. Didn't need to, but I did )

Or decide who pisses you off the most. Buy a car the same colour as them and get plates made up on fleabay the same as them. Save yourself £184.20 a season. Watch the game with a smug look on your face.

Slight change to the t&c's this year it seems.
First 2 cup games are free, last year it was supposedly 4 free cup games of your choice.

That's got to be up there with the most expensive in the division. Unless you need to park there (mobility issues etc) I can't see why you'd pay that when you can park for way less if you walk 10 mins.

I really don't get why car park C is the same price as A,B car parks.

25 games averages out at £7.38 over the season if you attend all 25 league/cup games your permit allows.

If you don't mind a 10 - 15 minute walk at the most there are loads of places.

I've never used the stadium car parks. For me, it's Coventry Welsh ground or the Buffs.

Appreciate all the comments and we used to walk down to the Ricoh, but unfortunately age is catching up with us both and we can't walk very far now, hence why we have to bring the car.
Fairly sure that we paid about £10 per game for parking in C last season so at least it will be cheaper for us this time round at £7-odd. Still a rip off though, but we wouldn't be able to attend otherwise.

As age is catching up on you (and me, but not as fast) go for Car Park A. Never any problem getting out. Less than the price you paid last year, and less of a walk.

I've never used the official car parks but there always seems to be people moaning on social media and CWR about it taking hours to get out. Yet everyone on here is saying they get out with no problem. Is there one particular car park that has trouble or are people just making shit up to have a whinge?

Well it hasn't been full for the last 6 years so maybe that is the reason it is easy to get out.

I use car park A and generally after some home games I'm due to start work in rugby at 6pm on Saturdays or 10pm on midweek game.
Saturdays I'm easily back in rugby by 5.20 and I can get into work on midweek games for 10.10 and that's leaving the Ricoh after the final whistle so I've experienced no such issues the last few seasons only a occasional 2/3 minute cue for the lights on the roundabout on the A444

C is usually good for getting away only issues over last few years (didn't happen at all I don't think last season) people were parking on the end of the bay (where there wasn't a designated space) where the road runs through to the exit meaning only 1 car could squeeze through as opposed to one car going through and others starting to edge out meaning a better flow.

Used the one right next to the ground once when I needed to get away quick. I spent twenty minutes waiting to be let out the gate.

Just park in Tesco and argue the toss with the parking Nazis. Probably cheaper and quicker all round.

So what conclusion did we reach about parking at Tesco - did we say that APNR means you'll likely be automatically issued a fine if you park there on a matchday?

if so does anyone else have any idea for free matchday parking that's handy for the Ricoh?

We changed from Car Park C to Car Park A this season and definitely recommend it. We have never been kept it and get away fairly promptly after the game. The stewards have got it well sectioned off around the small roundabout at the side of the stadium so it keeps moving. We don't live far from the Ricoh but can't walk too far these days hence having to take the car now and we can be home by 5.05pm some Saturdays.

It was upped to £10 last season - it used to be £5 in carpark C - its fuckin robbery as they don't charge £10 for some other events - nothing to do with the club apparently

Yes that's right. We do buy a season ticket for car parking now and that works out to £7-odd per match for all league games plus 2 cup games. Still a lot of money but we don't have much choice now.
