Joke Thread? Would be very bad news if they got a proper new main tenant for the pitch, I can't see its very likely though, hopefully im right.

I thought the match day costs would cripple a non-league club thanks to greedy ACL Grendel? What happened here?

Well for this team (name not yet confirmed) it will be a once in a lifetime experience, but sorry ACL is this the best you can come up with?

By "obviously" do you mean "that's the only explanation that means I don't have to reconsider my views"?

Could be all sorts of things, fact is it costs more to open all stands and have a game for 10k people than it does for 100 or so.

I know you're just doing your "grrrr council thing" but so you know, this relates to Grendel laughing at anyone who suggests a phoenix club could play at the Ricoh. Because ACL would never do it for free and the costs would cripple anyone non-league. I'd say either way, this proves him wrong.

What should happen for their first home game we should pack the place out and make a day to remember for those kids

don't play on weekends so doesn't seem to affect any chance of us coming back.

How are they affording it? Not just opening the stands but the staff at the ground, groundsmen, under soil heating, flood lights etc. It would be interesting to see if the non attendance based fees are the same as what CCFC had to pay.

I don't think £3 subs each is going to cover the flood lights.

I like the fact that they are currently based in Northamptonshire.

Until sisu lay the cornerstone for a new stadium - and as long the JR is unsettled - ACL will have to leave room for the club to come back.

No it just proves the council and ACL are greedy scum. They said that the club when we syed there had to pay fixed overheads as ACL could not pay themselves. This proves that statement to be false - it proves what I have said all along - the council and its quango have only ever wanted the club when it was a cash cow that they could leach off.

Equally they need to make sure they're the "going concern" Lucas says they are, don't they?

LOL!

No mate, it proves that the cost of using the Ricoh is proportional to how it's being used. This lot will need the pitch only and there will be no security, no cleanup, no food and beverage.

The cost to open all stands and put on a Championship/L1 experience is obviously going to be waaaay higher than letting a youth team and a few dads in.

PS: Bins not emptied again?
