In the first match day programme v QPR in 2005 it details where the money came from to build the Arena.
Find it out if you have it.
Business reps from Cov City Council and the Alan Higgs charity form ACL board sept 2002
Janaury 2003 Tesco buy land from Council to pay for £113m scheme.
several million pounds from European developement fund in june 2003
oct 2003 council pass the scheme 29 votes to 23.
mcginty and mutton sign agreement for buulding to start jan 2004
sillett puts steak in ground to show where the centre circle will be jan 2004.
worth a read.check it out

Sillett was always gettng a bit confused with the difference between stake and steak, always made dinner round his place an interesting experience.

PS Sillett would be rubbish against a Vampire attack wouldn't he..
