Was listening to Talksport as usual in the van today at work, Keys and Gray having there usual chats,

They were talking about investment when Andy Gray said

"what about you Richard, why don't you invest some of your money in your club"

His answer: "well I heard Freddy Sheperd was, but I don't know if anything'll come of it"

Anyone else heard about this before ? or is there a joke in there i'm missing ?

Nope, I haven't heard that at all. Nice of Gray to push Keys in the right direction though!

Be even nicer if Freddy shepherd came on board but can't see it unless its part of a Ranson takeover

Geez with how Ann Lucas reacted to King, she'll explode if Keys got involved too!!!

Didn't Shepherd get stung slating Geordie women? Mind you, having seen clips of Geordie Shore, the man was ahead of his time!!!

Shepherd, King and Keys????

Ann Lucas - gone forever!!! Lol

Fear not. In the interest of balance I've sent a request for Chubby Brown and Jim Davidson to pop round and cheer the miserable cow up a bit.

He was seen in Varsity earlier today. Could have been meeting up with Hoffman again?

Who, Shepherd?
Don't mean to sound dismissive (just naturally cautious), but who's your source?

Just someone who said he saw Shepherd down at Varsity.

Hoffman was also seen at Varsity a few weeks back having a meeting with two oriental men.

I think there's 2 plausible links with Freddie Shepard. The first being him and Ranson being friends which they talked about in the first year under his reign, and the second is that Northern Rock, which Gary Hoffman was involved with was the sponsorship for Newcastle at the time Shepard was there.

Make of it what you will.

Why would he? Great if he does, but he's Geordie through and through when it comes to football and I can't see anything in this. There is no money to be made unless we can get to the Premiership and he's shrewd enough to realise that's hardly likely, especially with our track record.
