Interesting, wonder if he just stayed for the few weeks the new coaches were settling in.

Following Frank Lampard’s appointment as Head Coach, Rhys returned to his position as first-team coach however the Club and Rhys have now mutually decided to part ways as Lampard continues to develop the Sky Blues’ coaching set-up.

That's okay. He can just go back to his laptop.

Oh, that's right, he was never off it anyway..

Is this to make way for Jody Morris or someone else? Or is it just case of too many coaches?

He's looked particulary sour-faced on the bench since Frank came in. To be fair, we played well at Sunderland & home against Sheff Utd when he was caretaker (but were awful at Burnley).
What was Robins doing bringing him & Boateng in as Head Coaches. Don't think either were at the level.

Inevitable.

Seemed a decent bloke and did job in really tough times after MR left.

Lampard starting to put stamp on.

I saw a game on tele recently, can't remember which one and all the coaches and Lampard were up and down shouting instructions, etc. Carr just sat there almost staring into space. Only a matter of time, I guess.

The line about Frank developing makes me think someone is coming in (who isn’t Matt Grimes )

This somehow feels inevitable and out-of-nowhere at the same time. It always seemed to me like he's a good man who found himself out of his depth, he did very well in extremely trying circumstances as interim and on a personal level it must have been tough to go to a new organisation only to find the person who hired you out on their arse. Hopefully he lands on his feet.

I’m sure King said that the model had changed so when the Manager/ Head Coach leaves the rest of the set up stays the same so it doesn’t unsettle the club, and that they had an excellent coaching set up….

Reading between the lines "however the Club and Rhys have now mutually decided to part ways as Lampard continues to develop the Sky Blues’ coaching set-up." More changes afoot or am I reading too much into that statement?

This was always going to happen and the 1 of the 3 names mentioned will be already be coming in. I think it will be Morris he has a very good name as a coach..

I can't really remember having seen him on any of the recent clips from training sessions. Good luck to him. His track record / background is in youth football so I'm sure he'll get a role somewhere.

Jodi Morris to come in as second assistant would be great although assume he comes with a high wage
