Been feeling a little sentimental since Friday and have been thinking back about the influential players that helped us move though the leagues from the depths of League 2 through to our promotion back to the Premier League, with McNulty, Kelly, Willis, Hyam, Dabo, McFadzean, O'Hare, Godden, Hamer, Gyokores and Sheaf all deserving of particular credit. Tomorrow however, Michael Doyle returns & will be on the Portsmouth bench in opposition. As arguably the most influential figure at the start of that journey, 'if' we are winning and the league is in our grasp, I've been thinking it will be nice for our fans to reprise the Doyle song from that League 2 season, in recognition of the important part he played for us.
