response from CCFC on FREE radio

John Daziel said a football club insider had advised that SISU and CCFC fully expected this move, ACL are trying to turn fans against them by getting ten points deducted, already were speaking to laywers and will fight this in court, expecting a long drawn out legal battle

Well ACL have 'played it' perfectly thus far. Saying they have taken the admin route as they feared Sisu would liquidate us and have taken this action to protect Coventry City's future.

Over to you Sisu.

It's like a very elongated game of ping pong ....... played to the death.

going to be somebody on CWR this morning (after 8 oclock) hopefully from ACL and maybe SISU (CCFC) to discuss what is going on

ACL have done this over the fear of liquidation. They are taking a big risk with their cash cow, aren't they?

The greater good.

They couldn't stand any club refusing to pay rent. The debt rises until the inevitable happens. They waited long enough.

A bit confusing. ACL don't need CCFC yet they're willing to throw a lot of money at "Protecting" the club from its satanic owners.

Well as long as it is done by the 27th March it will come off this season won't it.

To be quite honest we are all guessing as to whether it will be done by then aren't we?

The bloke on Twitter last night was saying this season. Fact is, none of us know and we are just assuming.

Yes, but some are more 'expert' than others.

And some are louder Billy Big Bollocks than others!

With all these business experts on this forum the city of Coventry should be thriving and the jewel in the crown of all of England.

think -10 is the least of our problems. SISU are likley to be the biggest creditor and if they don't agree a CVA we're looking at -25, that's of course assuming the administrator can find a buyer. if not we're looking at liquidation. the language ACL are using regarding a new buyer doesn't fill me with confidence.

Dave I fear you are right, what we needed is some stability and what ACL are doing is the ultimate in un stability for any football club

I agree with the football business expert, Chris Brady, on CWR this morning. He said he if he was an investor he wouldn't touch the club with a barge-pole as the income from our matches goes straight to ACL. And he he said they are happy to brag about the fact that they make all the profit. This is why this is a bad move from ACL. There's no future for us while ACL take advantage of Coventry City. Shameful really.

ACL on the radio saying repeated threats from CCFC owners to liquidate the club spurred the court action we would start lower than blue square prem

Er..not it's not. That's what the bloke said. So listen to it yourself, then come back and say something else apart from "that's shit".

What's shit? The fact Chris Brady said it, or what he said? Are you more of an expert than the football business expert? (That billing doesn't necessarily make him right, but it makes him worth listening to).

No, it's because someone dared say something against his beloved ACL.

Where do ACL keep getting this idea of liquidation from?

Did he actually speak out against ACL? I didn't hear him do so. He criticised the model, but surely that's there to be changed by negotiation:either at the time of any party buying the club, or candidly and honestly thereafter? Which the current owners failed to do on both counts

Of course it can, but realistically can ACL offer a better deal to new owners than the one that was on the table before negotiations broke down?

If they do, how can they justify inflicting a points deduction on the club only then to accept a deal worse than what SISU were prepared to agree to? That would be an absurd outcome, unless you subscribe to the view that getting SISU out is more important to them than long term rent income. Perhaps it is.

Either way, item 1 on the agenda should new owners come in will be Ricoh rent and the issue of matchday revenues. Will be interesting to see how that unfolds.

That is basically what he said...that revenue streams that should go to the club are going to ACL who are then happy to crow about making a profit, said he would not touch CCFC with a barge pole under the current set up

Although many cynics may refute the idea, maybe they are acting in the belief that they are protecting the interests of the football club, and might evidence flexibility to honest, clear and candid owners doing the same?

The question is why Sisu never really made an effort to big the Higgs share in the Ricoh??

They wanted the cheapest possible way to get their hands on the whole operation by ensuring acl went bankrupt. However the game changed with the council helping acl with the loan.

New owners would still have the option to buy the Ricoh share.

Why should they go to the club? The club didn't invest in the infrastructure or negotiations to support them. If the club wants them, they should negotiate the rights to them, surely?

But SISU rejected the deal.

Agree with your final point though. If we do get new owners let's hope they spend time negotiating instead of trying to start fights.

Sisu will fight this so no way will it be over by the end of march so the points will come off next season. On the bright side we will have new owners and the ricoh will be full every week and we will walk the league. Only down side will be shooting the flying pigs at HT for your bacon batch.

He criticised the model alright. ACL get all the profits from our club and brag about it!

"Brag" - what an odd choice of verb.
