Pros for Coventry City Football club
To holding out and trying to get a rent agreement of 200k.

To save an extra 16k a month for SISU this money may get spent on CCFC.
We look better to perspective buyers in the future.
I think it helps us with the FFS?

Negatives.

We are building up mistrust and resentment with both the Higgs Trust and the council both of whom we will need to do business with in the future.

National media are portraying us as a club in financial troubles.

I assume sponsorship deals advertising, marketing etc is getting hampered by the possibility we may not be in the Ricoh long term.

The club finally seems to be getting things right on the pitch.
This is the only unsettling thing left hanging over our club off the pitch .

Personally I would prefer if we did the deal

What about the £1 million back payments or are you assuming that no longer exists?

Yes I had forgot it. Tbh

As a pro or con?

A chance to pay it off at 8 grand a month? Sounds like a pro.

As a con that is an extra 8 k a month at SISU (may) make available to CCFC.

Do you think that by holding out ACL will write it off ?

I think there is no chance sisu will agree to pay it. ACL will have 2 choices - write it off or wipe us out.

Seriously, even at 8k a month for ten years over which time I guess they will have sold the club anyway.

Or bought out ACL and included this debt in that deal.

not sure there is no chance but we will have to wait see. When there is a legal debt that has been proven in court and the debtor chooses not to pay (ie has the ability to but decides not to) then who really "wipes us out"........ ACL might press the button but who placed the club on the bomb in the first place ? . I can think of other choices for ACL

IT's not a pointless jibe, I just don't see why you need to start yet another rent thread.

Well attack it and have a pop then Torch. As oppose to just ignoring it if you are not interested

Apologies for having a genuine concern about the one thing that is threatening our clubs existence.

I appreciate you will say that wont happen.

However whilst it is one of the options on the table I am going to want to discuss it.

I personally do not think there is any point in us discussing it, certainly not in the manner of the OP, as there is not one person on here (ok perhaps PWKH) that knows the ins and outs of it all therefore we are all pissing in the wind.....

Why do we bother discussing speculation on transfers or any subject regarding behind the scenes on the club.

We are not in the know.
