On the setting up a new team - I think Coventry United already have the rights to AFC title, I could be wrong just repeating what someone said to me.

I completely understand your response to the letter from Shitzu's reps. but I really don't think that you or any other Trust member has anything to worry about here. All you did was point to an article, you made no comment upon it and as such did not misrepresent its contents. In any event I cannot see that the article was in any way inaccurate. Keep up the good work.

having spoken to dozens of CCFC fans since the news broke of the threatened 'litigation' issues,
where the trust have received a letter,
i can say that 100% of fans have said they are utterly disgusted, although they used far more colourful language,
fit & proper owners ?
imho, certainly not,
FA or FL should intervene directly,
PUSB

Agree George should but wont, and if they did I suspect SISU would wrap the whole club up in an insolvency package and deliver it to the council house for processing....

I think that's 20 personal insults from Grendel today.
It's a classic case of small willy syndrome, strange from someone who is an enormous cock.

AFC Coventry is a stupid name anyway. If it did happen would need to be something like Coventry Singers FC or Coventry 1883 FC or City of Coventry FC.

AFC Coventry is just stupid and bears no meaning.

AFC is just an alternative to FC. It is superficial and should be dropped.

Coventry Rovers, green and red halves for the strip.

it's only the current fashion to 'revive' a club, so why not start again, make history.

Same as Leeds City to Leeds United, Wigan Borough to Wigan Athletic, the later clubs ended up eclipsing anything the originals managed.

Do you not think there are better alternatives for a name?

United, red, not fan owned... lacking imagination And Leeds, Wigan, were after the former clubs went pop.

Personally I can't see any reason why our current troubles can't help to bump Sphinx up to a similar level (or even beyond) that Cov Sporting managed, give our football a bit of depth again.

And any other club... nothing stopping any of us forming one. FC United doing alright, their new ground is getting off the ground nicely...

And if the issue is carrying the rest of us along, it needs a healthy dose of acceptance that resolution with the current club is needed first.

If people don't want to carry the rest of us along go ahead, form a club... enjoy, make some history.

How about ACL Rovers?

Jack and Bigfatron have already got season tickets.

AFC is continental phraseology not English. No one would say Association Football Club Coventry in normal speech. It must be Coventry Singers or Coventry City 1883 or just Coventry Football Club.

What's normal speech got to do with anything when naming a football club?

The nearest football club to me is AFC Barrow. Not ripped off from Wimbledon either.

Everything - we're English not French.
