Clearly he doesn’t but I am taking back to the first relegation season and we signed an Argentinian centre half with some enthusiasm

It reminds me of Esse as people then tried to pretend he was good. Esse is awful starting in the team and he needs binning as an occasional bench player

He wasn't the best today but was far from our worst player.

He was poor today , felt like he was playing like he thought he was too good for the level and was being smart .

I think today is the worst ive seen him though for us

He still created 2 decent chances and got a good shot off that tested the keeper with that volley.

Was the least of our issues.

Thought this would be a thread criticising the manager but no it’s just digging out a young loan signing

He’s dreadful - really needs excluding from the starting 11 - back flicks when trying to attack on the line - not great and really lucky on a few occasions trying to run through their team when we were defending

He’s our most valuable player isn’t he?

Emc does it most weeks and gives the ball away.

He also ran through their players and created a couple of good chances.

Also mostly gets his shots on target.

I honestly think he’s a liability a lot of the time. There will be exciting moments but it’s let down by dire positioning and discipline.

I agree actually. Esse and is a show pony. We didn’t need him. And his attitude is not likeable. We should have gone all out for a left back.

He’s come across well off the pitch so far. Today he wasn’t great though but other players seem to get away with it.

That's what is confusing me.

He created a couple of good chances and probably had our best shot.

Yeah he lost the ball a couple of times but no more than mve did.

He is out of position on the left, he's far more effective on the right.

The bigger issue than Esse is that Yang is clearly not trusted enough to start, or indeed to get more than about 5 minutes.

I dont think he'll play v Boro and that's fair, but bigger worry is after having fek all to do at centre back, Wolfie and Lati will play and they've earned the right to keep the shirt and they'll get ripped a new one. Kitching needed dropping tbf but Thomas's threat missing in both boxes. Dasilva somehow kept his place too, God knows what KKH has got to do to get a game. MVE also poor today but will need his pace v Boro.

He gave the ball away but today he still had a better shot accuracy, more key passes and pass accuracy than wright.

This lad do you mean?: Horacio Carbonari - Wikipedia

One of Jim Smiths finest (shudder).

I think Esse would have been fine in our gung-ho blowing sides away side of August-October but as I said in the match thread, he's awful defensively-he can't tackle without fouling-and he is trying to do too much. He's still done some good stuff.

He looks better than Yang though.

I don't understand the concern really, Thomas and Kitching have been woeful and ripped apart be the most ordinary of attacks. We still haven't lost a game Lati started in.

Doesnt mean alot today , had nothing to do

Has zero pace though and was done in behind several times against charlton and done on his inside with JDS today that lead to oxfords best chance , these are 2 games against the leagues weaker sides
