Working 12 hour night shifts gives you a lot of time to think about..... well, not a lot of any help really! Just daydreaming more than anything. But tonight I've been thinking back to Arsenal away in the 4th round FA cup 2014, and what a great atmosphere it was. The fans (as usual giving the owners far more than they deserve) travelling in massive numbers and having a great day! Even at half time, 2-0 down (the cheers of the 6-1 defeat from our last meeting still ringing in our ears), we twisted and shouted as loud as we could. Leaving the ground after 4-0, the only fans to be heard outside the ground were Sky Blue.
Even after a defeat it was a great atmosphere and one I really hope we can see again on April 2nd.
I just fear there's too much anger from the fans towards SISU now and if we go 2 or 3 down it might turn nasty. I hope I'm wrong for all the families that will be there.
But let's all think back to Arsenal away and how good a day it was and let's recreate that with 40k sky blue voices. Let's out sing (and hopefully outplay) Oxford.

I think you've completely missed the point of my post there.
It's not a competition to see who has the best memories of city or who has been to the best match.
It was just a memory i have of the club being at a particular low point (recently relegated, playing 'home' games at shitfields, 2-0 down, recently losing 6-1 at the same ground, eventually losing 4-0), but fans still turned up in numbers and had fun. They enjoyed the day regardless of what was going on in the background and irrespective of the score.
It's something I hope we can do again at Wembley, because again, like then, we're at an all time low, we're playing shit, we'll STILL have a massive following regardless and most likely lose. But with all of that I hope we can enjoy the day and have a party NOT a protest

I'd go with that.

Also, when Ball scored that goal, 7000 odd city fans going mad like we'd won the game.

Tinpot, cringey whatever, it was good fun

That game only reminded me of: A. The spanking we gave Arsenal at Highbury in 93, and the amazing victory over them at HR, 3-2: they had most of the old guard, Viera, Petit, Henry(?) and Suker, and we sneaked it with THAT Robbie Keane goal.

But yes, as a fan base, we may be fickle but we're amongst the most devoted in the FL.

I remember watching city v leeds utd in about 1970, I think there was 41,000 there for a night match, I remember my feet not touching the ground form about the mercers car park until I was in the ground.
