I didn't, but I could well imagine. I find the first retort of the "great offended" and religious types is to call you a Nazi or on some way connect your viewpoint with the regime, it's an easy get out for them, but it instantly undermines their argument, usually because they don't have one, leaving them to revert to the ad hominem.

I must say HH, you seem to have done well escaping the "thou who does not believe" religious Irish upbringing?

I have a strong Irish background, with Catholic religion, but my parents weren't "god fearing" like many. They seemed to see through the religious BS, and I am grateful they did!

Catholicism and Christianity are not one and the same, so please do not assume this.

This is what I find most amusing about the Godless, mocking, flippant and dismissive - they have little knowledge on religious history, the TRUE history of Christianity.

Research how Catholicism is a pagan religion, masquerading in the Glory of God, then return with your thoughts.

There are good Catholics out there, but they have been seriously misled by the horrors of the Catholic church.

Do your own research, laddy. Started with the Emperor Constantine and the holocaust of Christians by the cult of Catholicism, not sure of the timeline without checking, might have been 13th century.

Catholic rituals are paganistic. Look into it please, before more ignorant mockery.

Catholicism, at it's core, is NOT anything to do with Christ. As Atheists, you thirst for knowledge, so do your research.

By the way, I'm not being drawn into any more petty arguments with those who don't know what true Christianity is.

Yes, he is, you're quite right. He represents Nimrod/Baal/Satan/Lucifer, the 'King with many names'.

Those who scoff and mock at my claims that we celebrate pagan festivals should really do their own research before making fools of themselves.

Furthermore, if you need any evidence (since Atheists tend to assume without researching) I'll PM you a host of links and videos verifying my remarks, if you like?

er........... let me have a long hard think on that ......... er ................. nah!
I'm an atheist. I don't believe in absolutely ANYTHING godlike or similar! I shout at your god and tell him he's a c**t and if he doesn't like it, strike me down dead! Nope! Nowt happens!
So there you have it. I was excommunicated from the church decades ago, (well, I excommunicated myself!), and have never been happier. You stick to your beliefs in fairies, goblins and ghouls and I'll live a happy life without a care in the world about them!

Ok, I apologise for my tone, it's difficult to gauge someone's tone on a very sarcastic forum.

For informational purposes, I'd suggest looking into the pagan roots of Catholic rituals and doctrines; they also display the bent or 'broken' cross on their crucifix depicting an emaciated Christ. Catholics per se are not the issue, the Vatican and the core of Catholism are.

It is an inversion and a masquerade of Christianity.

I do, however, encourage people to seek the answers firsthand, that way it's not merely my word which, I'm sure, sounds dubious at best.

Pardon?

Get a grip, mate, fairies goblins and fucking trolls are mythical pagan constructs.

Sorry if you despise God so much, perhaps you should look at how he's blessed you rather than what you expect from Him.

So please, don't throw idiotic comments at me about fairies, it's a tad ignorant and you generally do not seem so.

Fair enough mate. I was brought up with the Catholic faith, hence the interest, and I shall do a bit of research - I had never heard this before (about paganism). For what it's worth, I have (had) family members who have found their faith to be and positive a important element of their life, so although I don't believe, I feel it's a case of live and let live when it comes to beliefs.

Out of interest, is there a particular reason why you singled out Catholicism? Or do other Christian denominations and religions come under scrutiny in a similar way (honest question)?

I may have missed it in the thread, so apologies if so.

To see people so lost and enamoured with this torrid, heartless world is saddening. Truly saddening.

I'm not here to preach or argue, but yes, I get snarky when people say things about Christianity that aren't true. Christ saved me from so much sorrow and misery over the last year, He has been at my side through every heartache and every moment of self doubt.

Just remember, I'm not your enemy and neither is God. We are responsible for our own paths, our own actions and fate.

God bless you all, and apologies again for any offense on my part.

Most denominations emanate from Catholicism, it even controls the modern day Protestant church. It's THE church, which the Bible calls an Abomination.

Of course, I refer only to it's core doctrine, not practising Catholics who are generally good people who have no idea about their religions roots. Even those practising Lent have no idea it's a homage to Horus the frigging pagan sun god.

It's so difficult trying to gently inform Catholics about the doctrine they follow...it's really not a case of focusing on Catholicism, because behind it is the Zionist principles of Talmudic Judaism. Now that is worth looking into too, if you're interested.

And no, I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

On her radio show, Dr Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination under any circumstances. The following is an open letter response to Dr Schlesinger, written by a U.S. man and posted on the internet:

Dear Dr Laura

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you however, regarding some other elements of God’s law and how to follow them.

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided that they are purchased from neighbouring countries. A friend of mine claims this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness – Leviticus 15: 19-24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord – Leviticus 1:9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Leviticus 11:10 – it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there “degrees” of abomination?

7. Leviticus 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair round their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Leviticus 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Leviticus 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Leviticus 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kind of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Leviticus 24:10-16) Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Leviticus 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerate expertise in such matters, so I’m confident you can help.

Thank you for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and unchanging.

Your adoring fan

John M Kauffman

(P.S. It would be a damn shame if we couldn’t own a Canadian.)

I didn't compare the two in that post, not sure what point you're trying to make.

I don't follow the Catholic religion, despite being baptised into it etc.

I don't actively live my life in a religious way, I just try to not be a dick and treat people how I'd like to be treated
