There is a silver lining - it's possible in a years time we could be playing Sutton to get our own back.......

No surprise was it, but still shameful. Disgusting hedge fund cretins making appalling decisions all year and bingo we were fucked by February. I like Robins, does a good job, but how long till someone turns his head again when he realises the lack of backing he will get from Fisher and his pay masters.

Numb to it now, been used to disappointment for so long with this club. The slow turn around in results and passion under Robins, plus the Wembly win and the support that turned out for that, does give me a bit more hope that things look a bit more positive than the last time we were relegated (if that makes sense).

I take heart from our chums up the road, similar size city and club. With owners who want to install pride rather than profit, they aren't doing to badly are they? Once Joy's had the stadim review knocked back, maybe then she'll sell up and we can finally have a chance under people who actually LIKE football.

When we were relegated from the Prem we kept Strachan on for too long when it was clear to all he'd lost it. When we were relegated from the championship we kept Thorn even though he was clearly not competent. Going down from league 1 we have a manager that's upped the team's performance no end since he came in and will have a summer to recruit his own squad. I'm optimistic we can do well next year.

will have a better idea after player sales and budget Robins has to spend when season tickets sales sorted. there is also the possibility of him being poached, he walked before, it could happen again. money talks. see where we are in August. 1 last season for me.

Yeah cos that worked out well in 2012/13 didn't it - 0-0 at Huish Park - 5 managers (including Robins, Shaw and Carsley) that season

It's a total write-off. Yes we won the tin-pot but that'll be no comfort to me on the cold terraces of Accrington and Exeter and Mansfield next season when we're 3-0 down. Yes it was a great day but if all we can cling to is the "glory" of winning the Checkatrade, we're in for a rough old time. This season was always going to be judged on the league, and look what has happened. By the way, in the other two tournaments we entered, we went out 6-1 to Norwich seconds, and 4-0 to league two Cambridge. If that's not a write-off, I'd hate to see one.

Next season could be bearable but think we'd need 5k season ticket holders to sign on early bird so robins can get stuck into the transfer market.

As much as a lot of people won't want to hear it, unfortuntley the reality is that our chances of success are down to us as fans to support the club.

Hence I fear the worst

Strange thing is that I knew we were going down about 5 games in. Same both time we went down before.
The only thing I'm glad about is that we haven't taken it to the last game and been sent down by a late equaliser in another game. That would be a hundred times worse.
Not too upset today as like most others have said, we've been down for ages.

Not disputing that he should have been sacked just saying the same was said about him as Robins.

Says the guy who said we would not be relegated this season.

The current squad is destined for lower half of L2. And we know already that the squad budget will be even lower next season. If we finish in the top half then Robins will have done VE RY well.

Yeah, totally with you Torch. We had a day out at Wembley (I think your missus and lad did) and we've been down for a while. Good to see us at least put up a fight under Robins and go into L2 with some form.

Slight light at the end of a shit season under the god awful Mowbray, Venus and Slade.

Good luck Robins, bring on L2.

I think this time is different, when we thought it under TM. TM was inexperienced at league one, MR however has spent 2 whole seasons with Rotherham in league two between 2007/09, he should be more aware of the demands the league possesses and identify players who can cope with it weekly for 96 mins.
I remain positive...

The annoying thing about this season is if these players had of been coached from day 1 against Swindon we wouldn't have got relegated! Until Robins came in and put his stamp on the squad and gave us shape and belief the players suddenly looked good enough....

The miss management of this season is massively apparent all board memebers are at fault, some for not being interested (Anderson) and some for not realising how much of a mess we were in and came back making things worse (fisher) and one for not backing the manager in the summer, being manager himself and trying to appoint a manager all of which he failed at (Venus).

It's a big summer ahead Robins is the man I have no doubt about that I just want him to do what he needs to and start getting us winning! He does that we will do well next season,

As for Sisu it's obvious they need to go but someone needs to be serious with how they want to take the club off them, compromise on both sides will be needed to get a new direction.... I do feel though we need a the cleanest of clean slates for new owners no one who has been involved with any of this mess over the last what 25 years.......

It's hard to take and it hurt more than I thought but football can work in cycles I just hope this is the bottom and suddenly our cycle turns into an upwards one!

The recruitment in the summer or lack of it was his down fall even though we are bottom of the league that squad of talented youngsters shouldn't have got relegated. With proper organisational skills and discipline under robins they look like they could beat anybody in this league

I have felt anger at this for a long time. Look at the clubs who have made it into the top flight. Look at those in the Championship. Nothing special in terms of crowds or a billionaire like some but just simple, competent management and ownership.

That we are now not good enough to compete with the likes of Rochdale and Scunthorpe should make the collective blood boil. It is more through a refusal to accept this reality than reason that I expect nothing less than an immediate return next season. The quality of opposition next season will be even worse. Their budgets and crowds even lower. The standard required to beat these teams lower still.

Let Robins manage and my expectation might not be so deluded.

Yes me too, going do to the bottom league will make our rise through the ranks even more incredible. If we keep the side together, add and strengthen in a few positions, and have a good start, the crowds will come back in their droves because the fans will support success, whatever division ...or cup. We could easily average 17,000 next season if we get to the top.

Exeter are in great form and in a play off place so you may not need to worry going there.

What's wrong with feeling good about one thing after an awful season? At least the fans had something to get excited about for the first time in a long while. Yes, most of us would have swapped that for survival but be glad we had something to cheer about

Agree. Unless they have a change in policy regarding CCFC.
Relegation didn't hurt as much as previous, partly because of how long we've had to get used to the inevitable, but the other issue (as some have said) for me is the bigger picture with regards to where we will be playing the season after next and what our future direction is. I will be buying a season ticket and I am looking forward to next season with a bit more positivity (particularly with recent upturn in form); however, it is likely to be our owners who affect the mood of our fanbase and our direction of travel on the pitch. Hope to god they can manage to avoid ballsing up next year/our future. Roll on summer - it's going to be interesting!
