Apologies if it's been posted already, but I have looked at relegation stats for the last 10 seasons of the championship.

Interesting stats are:-

50 points would have been safety in 8 of the 10 seasons.
The lowest number of points a team stayed up with was 43 (Bolton W 2017-2018)
The highest number of points a team was relegated on was 54 (Peterborough 2012-2013)

The last 10 seasons of course includes the season we were relegated (2011-2012)
We were relegated on 40 points - the team 4th from the bottom were Barnsley on 48 points.

Wycombe will go down on less than 40 points
Sheff wed will go down on less than 45 points

so how many points will
Rotherham
Blues
Derby
Huddersfield get

At least 2 of them will not break 50
so 50 will be more than enough, and probably 48
key is not to lose in the rotherham and huddersfield games

It would be amazing to get a win and 2 draws from rovrum Luton and Wycombe

43 points and need 7 points from 8 games

i suspect if we beat rotherham, and wycombe - we would be around 3 or 4 points from safety
massive games

We are on 38 points from 35 games, that is an average of 1.09 goals per game. If we carry on with that performance then we will get another 12 points giving us 50 points, so we are in with a good chance of staying up.

Of course we have players coming back from injury and a favourable run-in which would hopefully mean we could pick up more points than that.

However it is going to be close, and there is no room for complacency. Football is famously unpredictable so we can't assume anything.

It was tongue in cheek. We’ve won 10/11 games against them. It was more on CCFC normally going against what’s expected of them

Having seen them in a few games they looked decent, had no luck at all but energy has been there, talent maybe not. Even though they will finish bottom they have made a good fist of it, this isn’t a gimmie

Looking at the remaining games I have us on 52 points with Wycombe and Wednesday going down with Rotherham and blues both on 43 points so could be down to goal difference for the final spot. Must just keep working hard and get those much needed points in the bag.

i did the predictor and got us to 50 points
and 6th bottom , 7 points clear of relegation

Rotherham have 3 points from the last 6 games. It is a must not lose game on Saturday, and I think that will do it for them

in fact if you take current form table of us, Rotherham,Sheff wed, wycombe

we are top
P6 Points 7 GD -1

Ahead of
Rotherham + Sheff Wed + Wycombe
P18 Points 7 GD -20

and this was through our run of tough fixtures

5 points minimum needed from the next 3 to see us fine. If we get that then I feel 1 win and 1 draw from the remaining 8 will see us safe.

Win the next 3 and we can have a relaxed enjoyable last 8 games!

I think we’ll get 5. The one musnt lose is Rotherham.

Not having won back to back games would be good to put to bed

I just got us 18th on 47, being very honest and throwing some hiccups in for other teams. TBH that will do me just fine

I think Brum will be going down. Rotherham will be safe.

Wycombe: Doomed
Sheffield Wed: too far back to catch up
Rotherham: Fixture pile up
Birmingham: Horrendous run in
Huddersfield: Dropping like a hooker's panties

If we can't finish ahead of three of these we don't deserve to stay up
