this season, I don’t see anyone from Plymouth Cardiff or Luton who we’d need and improve on what we’ve already got

It’s not about replacing the 11 though, it’s about replacing the depth. Bundu for example would be a much better option than Bassette

Be amazed if someone on here doesn’t mention ex-player Liam Walsh….

If we don’t go up we will need to replace MvE: prob Haji Wright (who might fancy a move to Germany/Spain/Portugal ahead of the World Cup to keep his profile high) and I’m increasing concerned that Rudoni might attract attention from the Prem.

Can't be precious about not signing players from relegated sides. Players can shine with a better squad around them. Rudi and Liam Kelly worked out well for us

He was and he has.

He seems to alternate between good and poor seasons also!

That Alli from Luton could very well develop into a PL standard player. His footwork and finishing are excellent already.

Agree. Alli is very good.

What about outside of the relegated teams, the ones that aren’t expecting to challenge up there.
Sort of what Im trying to say is there any Matt Grimes’ we can get from a team sort of Middling around?
to me potentially:
Ben Cabango - CB (Swansea)
Harry Darling - CB (Swansea)
Djeidi Gassama - LW (Sheff Weds)
Marcelino Nunez - CM (Norwich)
Edo Kayembe - CDM (Watford)
Imran Louza - CM (Watford)
Georgi Chakvetadze - CAM (Watford)
Jimmy Dunne - CB (QPR)
Kenneth Paal - LB (QPR)
Koki Saito - LW (QPR)
Cameron Brannagan - CM (Oxford)
Wouter Burger - CDM (Stoke)
Million Manhoef - RW (Stoke)
Matt Clarke - CB (Derby)
Emil Riis - ST (PNE)

not sure why so many are keen on Morris, he's still under contract so would cost money and I think we could do better if we were looking for an upgrade in that department

Yeh tbh I think Luton players would be hard to get anyway, the ones they don't want to leave that is. There's only 3 or 4 I'd even look at but I bet they are on decent money and Luton won't really need to sell as they'll still be receiving parachute payments.
As for Cardiff I've already said..
Salech
Robertson

Plymouth
Bundu on a free
Ukraine CB who's name I cba to attempt.

That's it really. I'd be happy happy with any of those, assuming we're still a Championship club that is.

No thanks. The sort of psychopaths you want went competing at the bottom. Not near the top.

Was Bundu on loan from Leeds?

He's got dreadful hair though! For that reason and that reason alone, I'm out. He looks like Sian Massey

They came mid-season and the damage was already done. I don’t know if they are psychopaths as you say, but aggression can be useful if harnessed the right way. Some of our players (eg Simms) are so soft that I wish they’d have some more aggression/confidence.

I think Rudi will give us until January. If he carries on in the same vein he has this season he will definitely attract interest

I’m sure Bundu would love to join us to be on the bench each week.

He will be a Wrexham signing.

The draw is massive for players now , to come here .
Couple that with Lampard as our coach & any player in their right mind , having just been relegated, or treading water in the championship lower sections , would surely be interested.
But , with Lampard draw & his knowledge of players , I think our future recruitment will be on another level & shock us all .
Great times ahead Skyblues !

Who said hes on the bench each week. If our striker needs resting we can play Haji upfront and Bundu on the wing.

This isn't Fifa where you can start the same XI every week, its chopped and changed as we have seen this season.

I don't get the clamour for Bundu based on a decent game against us. He's had one season of double digits at a professional level and he's 28.

10 goals 6 assists is a great return to be fair, especially for a relegated team
