Sick interview with our goalie Charles-Cook who describes his journey from Arsenal to League 2 and now up the football leagues. Seems to have his head firmly screwed on great to see.

I’ve played at every level now, and seen how it was to act and now I can be myself. The gaffer we got now [Tony Mowbray] is a natural genius. Playing at Coventry is like what I learnt all them years back at Arsenal

I like him, hope he has a few seasons with us. If you've got SkyBlue Player there's a nice bit in the James Maddison return interview where RCC just walks in and takes over the interview.

I find the term "sic" very annoying. It should be banned here and everywhere come to think of it

Perhaps it's a typo and he meant to write "slick". I can't think of any other explanation for using the word "sick" in that context.

Sick means good. A lot of negative words have positive meanings, but you don't see it the other way like if I described this post as both riveting and entertaining. Doesn't fly as slang.

A comment from RCC in the article about Bury

Bury offered me a deal but I wasn’t happy with it, so I said I’d find somewhere else so they let me go, and we parted terms. I went looking for other clubs and my agent got me a trial at Coventry, then got put on a trial and I got signed in the week. After leaving Bury, you wouldn’t think you’ll find your way up after. I thought I’d have to go the Conference and make my name there. I went to Coventry and they sent me on loan to Nuneaton straight away. I played in the Conference Premier for 4-5 months, which was a great experience, then got called back to sit on the bench for the rest of the season in League 1, which was a sick experience for me. - See more at: http://realsport101.com/reice-charles-cook-what-footballs-really-like-part-2/#sthash.F7nkKRml.dpuf

Mad's another that means good too. I also hear that chicken can be cheeky, but I'm not having that for a second.

I'm waiting for the day 'c**t' becomes a term of endearment in youth culture. Won't be long now.

Happened long ago amongst the working class. Calling your mate a c**t lost all sense on insult many years ago.

After Sam Ricketts joined, RCC told him that RCC was the club's vice captain when he wasn't even in the team. I like him. A real character who keeps the dressing room a happy place. And goalies are supposed to be a bit mad aren't they?

Sick is basically the same as whatever was the cool terms to use when the average person on here was a kid. I haven't read The Great Gatsby recently so I can't give you a precise example.

Typical Footballer Tweet:

"Shout out to my bro @Player_Who_They've_Known_About_3_Weeks for his sick goals yesterday! Absolute flames (3 x fire emoticon) from you mate (bicep emoticon)! Great game from the lads (football emoticon), nice to pick up an assist as well, fans were unreal (hand praise emoticon) #Positivity #GodIsGreat"
