I'm finding it's taking around half an hour to exit Car Park A after a City game. There's one piddly exit for every vehicle to exit from, causing massive queues snaking around the car park. Used to use car park C, and although there were often lengthy queues there, they always flowed well to exit on the A444.

Does anyone know if Car Park C uses number recognition these days? Was thinking of getting my parking pass swapped from Car Park A to C, although with everything going on at the CBS, I'm not hopeful of getting it sorted.

It’s forced us to leave games early this year… which I hate

I usually get dropped off and picked up but drove myself last week. It took me well over 30 minutes to get our of Car Park C, so I'm not sure you're going to see any more benefit swapping.

I stay behind and wait for the queue to die down.

You still there now by any chance? And would you like a flask of hot soup?

No thanks, the wife has just brought me some sandwiches. She said the queue is still terrible, so I should stay longer….…

Been a Car Park A season ticket holder for years. This year I gave it a miss and don't regret it. You have to get there at least half hour early to get a space, although I had getting out down to a fine art, with sprinting after the final whistle

Did Holly and Phil make a speedy getaway?

They haven’t gone yet. They’re first in the queue for my funeral though…

Never have much trouble getting out, we stayed behind for about 5 mins after ft and it took about 10 mins to get out of A, back in Rugby by 10.15

Last night was a nightmare because it had all kicked off by the coaches and the police blocked the road. Normally we stay for a pint and when we come out the roads are clear. I have seen cars go out the barrier exit in car park A and drive round to the car park B exit but I’ve only done that once as normally go on the M6.

Nice to see the fence is still doing such a great job at eliminating trouble.

You get the odd delay in Car Park C. Burnley game took about 15 minutes, last night we were out in 2 minutes. But I’m not really one for applauding at FT, regardless of result, and that mostly helps for a quicker getaway.

We swapped from A to C last season because it was always crap getting in and out.

I would suggest you write to the club and the car park company. It is ridiculous how slowly the traffic moves because of the exit. What makes it worse is that traffic is stopped for people to cross, which to be fair is understandable but the exit needs a review.

I was in car park A against Preston it took around 30-40 minutes to get out . Now I park at the Griff and call an Uber, it’s quicker and cheaper

number plate recognition?? You basically wave a bit of paper at a kid on minimum wage and they let you in. Pretty sure you could print off anything with your number plate on and you’d be fine ( not that I’m suggesting that of course)

Honestly just park in Tesco, we do
It every week and park right near the exit, takes on average 3 mins to get out. There’s no checks.

Tesco is now one of the 'official' car park options at £15 a game so expect at some point they're going to start checking. Although with the efficiency of how the car parks are run selling tickets for there but not having anyone actually supervising it wouldn't be a complete surprise.

interesting I didn't know that, back in the day we just used to buy a coat or something from m and s and then return it as a way around

On a slightly separate note, but it's amazing how your exit to a ground can impact whether you perceive there to be trouble or not. Over the last decade we largely have parked the Holbrooks side of the stadium so have left block 18 and gone round by the casino. In that time you could count on one hand incidents we saw. Last season we changed approach and parked off Lythalls Lane until someone damaged our car. We thought that last season much have seen a huge spike in incidents, but in reality it was just because we had to walk past the fence/away fans. It has possibly/probably always been that way. Since the damage, we are back in our old spot and not seen a single incident and would have assumed there hadn't been one until you see comments on here.
