Ref tonight was very good.

I know we're devastated by the Hamer booking but there's a lot of Sky Blue specs about the "not even a foul" calls, it is 100% a foul by him.

On its own it's never a yellow card of course but it was his 5th foul so that's why he booked him.

Still harsh in my opinion, I'd have given him the benefit of the doubt as he's just attempting to get the shot away.

Thought he was excellent tonight. Hamer card aside. Should have given pen for dabo

I was just going to start a new thread for this game but let's carry on with this one.
My observations were:
1. Let the game flow
2. Called a foul throw. My hero. We need to see more of this.
3. Good use of advantage. Waited just long enough to make a decision. I thought he was wrong on 2 occasions but agreed with him after seeing replays
4. Checked to see if the ball was in the arc for a corner. Maybe a little pedantic but good to see
5. Correctly overruled the lino on one occasion
6. Possibly should have booked Pipa early on but I prefer this to being card happy
7. Lost the plot a little in the last couple of minutes and E.T. (Missed a foul on Biamou, Hamer's card harsh, a foul but not really worth a card?
8. I think that both yellows were swayed a little by persistence rather than bad fouls

Overall rating 8. Probably the best we've had this year

as annoying as Hamers yellow was, probably a fair assessment. It seemed to me that he had been spoken to at half time, as booked Pipa first chance he got second half, and gave a few early second half decisions our way.

Dabo should have gone down-stonewall pen.

I missed this. I don’t remember a shout for a pen. The only time I remember Dabo in the box was when he nicked it off their guy and squared it, where we nearly scored.

Ref was good yesterday. It was harsh for Hamer’s yellow, but we’re going to have to live with that for the next game.

I thought the ref: was okay
wasn’t whistle happy and took into account what was a slippy playing surface. Didn’t agree with Hamer’s yellow didn’t think it was foul but he does play on the edge with little indiscretions here and they mount up the ref pointed this out when booking him.

Absolutely. Wouldn’t have been a booking if it was his first or second foul of the night but as ref showed it was result of culmination. Little harsh but can’t really complain.

Hamer misses two games for 5 yellows cos he had a straight red against Bournemouth
