Ref didn’t have many if any big decisions.
Pen shouts. Probably got both right . Will we ever get one?
I thought he missed a few fouls in midfield
Probably should have booked Hamer
Let the game flow pretty well
Overall rating 7

I thought he was not bad today and I can't stand refs usually but credit where its due

Thought it was a nailed on handball for us, disliked the assault on Allen when he must have bounced for 10 yards, but also liked him allowing Hamer to do 2 late challenges in the space of five seconds. 7 out of 10 from me too.

With regards to the pen shout. What is the actual wording of the law?
It was one of those that’s worth a shout but would be really mad to see given against us.

Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct

The key criteria are these 2...

- deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball

- the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger

Clear as day that it was neither & so never a penalty in a million years & anyone claiming otherwise is clutching at straws.

All those saying it would definitely be given against us obviously doesn't remember the Reading game either.

Not sure refs are up to date on the changes of laws of the game myself but he was OK go along with a 7
