Even Gary Hinchcliffe criticised it. And he's a dick.

Onyeka's was his third one in that opening 25minutes. Could see it coming, I don't know if he was off the pace or doing it deliberately but the booking was probably a totting up as opposed to the foul being yellow card worthy on it's own.

Yeah the ref did the ‘pointing around the pitch’ thing.

but I felt the amount that Onyeka was getting fouled himself was worthy of someone getting a yellow for the ‘next’ one but I guess it don’t work like that.

I thought Hackney got away with loads last night, whether it was pushing people in the back or kicking out when he was on the floor, for all his obvious talent, I thought he was a petulant little prick.
Made my lad laugh when he messed something up and I shouted Taxi for Hackney, good old grandad joke lol

2-0 up away from home & yet the ref is the major talking point. That probably tells you all you need to know about his performance so far. Dreadful.

Thought the ref got everything pretty much spot on today.

Only slightly debatable point was not giving a booking for kicking the ball away after what we have seen previously, but generally wouldn't want to see that there anyway.

The one where our fans were calling for a pen was spot on. Keeper took the ball then the man. Outstanding keeping and ref kept his head despite the pressure from the stands

Can't say I really noticed the ref today.

Which means he must of had a very good game.

Credit where its due, as there's some awful refs in this division.

He got two small decisions wrong at the start of the game and I thought it was going to be a long day refereeing wise. But overall a pretty decent game from the officials.

Thought he did well yesterday. Let things go which helped the flow.
I think he’s had two other games up CBS this season - one he was poor I thought where he didn’t give a stonewall pen, the other was much better (Millwall I think).
he’s a young ref and I think highly thought of as he has done prem games I think.
Was a feature on him before West Brom showing behind the scenes and the prep they do for a game, was pretty interesting to be fair, especially the goaline tech they have.

Don't worry about the refs chaps.

We'll be officiated by VAR next season.

I thought he was good.

There was so much shirt pulling going on, at set pieces and in general play, but he obviously made the decision to just let that carry on.

Don’t mind that, set the tone and as long as it’s consistent throughout the game and for both teams it’s fine.

The pen shout was embarrassing, it was just great goalkeeping.

Yea, no idea why anyone was calling for that. Even in 18 some were calling for it which was odd.

Thought he did what he should've done and was largely anonymous.

The recurring problem now, because of where we are as a club, is that their hands are tied in regards to time wasting.

Stoke got instant karma Saturday, but very easily we could've watched it trickle away to a draw thanks to breaking the game up and killing time/momentum.

Not a bad ref yesterday.

Had to send Latti off and ‘should’ve’ sent their player off for a knee high tackle in 1st half but got it right in the second.

Not much mention of the Eccles stupid challenge on the edge of the area, which on another day could’ve been a pen.

If a referee doesn’t give a pen against is that a positive? ..

this is a clear red card he missed. I didn’t rate him yesterday and I certainly didn’t when we had him earlier this season.

If you watch this bit back on the highlights he’s actually running away, I doubt he gets a good view.

the fact that he’s completely off the ground and he’s coming down with his studs make this so obvious.

and yes, I thought he missed a pen for them too. Didn’t make the highlights but players from both teams just stopped and waited for him to whistle

It's an absolutely awful challenge that... Have to say I thought the red for Lats is pretty soft too given the position. I know rules are rules but for me that leg breaker if a challenge deserves a red way more than the Lats.

No complaints about Lati sending off, but was very surprised Randall didn't see a straight red.

I know it's the rules but if felt quite far out hence me feeling it's a bit soft.

Yeah, but he would have been clean through. If he isn't fouled he probably goes on to score.

That picture is a bit damning!

I was watching from the home stands yesterday. I was in the one to the right of the SBA, with the challenge happening directly in line with where I was sat. Must admit that I thought it was a yellow at the time. Home fans around me didn't even think it was a foul!

Their striker made a meal of the Lati challenge, but still can't argue that it was a red. We'd expect it the other way around.
I was too far away to see the "penalty", but it didn't look a stonewaller

At least he found the second yellow for their guy to even it up. Would have been a difficult second half playing against 11.

Every game is evaluated, each report needs to be made public/at least shared with the clubs. The refs gave their own ranking but that means nothing without outside accountability.

I know VAR sucks but next season we'd have had about 15 penalties we didn't get this year
