Exactly. The tactic for defenders when beaten now & the wrong side, just fall into the attackers legs. As they've not used their feet to trip them, the Refs buy it as just a clumsy & off balance coming together but in reality, it's a penalty.
Multiple times his entire foot was on the pitchAs long as not fully over line u can bro. Below is ss from latest Laws of the game
And the bear hug Simms early in the game. He rolled the defender to chase a through ball and the defender just wrapped both arms around Simms chest and dragged him backwards no attempt to play the ball.Apart from 2 penalties, missed bookings etc.
Missing the ball go out of play a couple of times.
The first penalty claim was valid. The player basically reached out to grab Wright’s leg to stop him shooting. However, by then Wright had already decided to fall down and I suspect the ref had already decided it wasn’t a penalty.
The second one on EMC was similar. I wasn’t suprised that neither was given but looking back it’s bizarre we’ve only had two penalties this season (away to Derby and Millwall in the league cup).
Forgot about that. He was right next to that incident and if he hasn’t seen it, he’s incompetentAnd the bear hug Simms early in the game. He rolled the defender to chase a through ball and the defender just wrapped both arms around Simms chest and dragged him backwards no attempt to play the ball.
Ref had a good view of that as well
The first penalty would have been a red cardWe are not getting penalties but we did get a couple of big decisions yesterday. Kitchin’s elbow on their striker what had come on in the first round of subs could easily have been given as a red card.
And the late run by Leicester which was pulled back for offside looked very very much on when you consider the position DaSilva was in as the ball was played through.
Isn't that the linos job? Although recently they completely miss the ball going out of playWe cannot expect officials to see this sort on thing when in a couple of their throwins yesterday the player had his foot well on the playing area and was not spotted.
It is but his foot was so far on for one that i think even the directors box should have seen it and they are on the opposite side of the pitch.Isn't that the linos job? Although recently they completely miss the ball going out of play
Shows why the target man has been killed off. If defenders can legally do that, it’s not a fair competition for the ball. And the bear hug Simms early in the game. Think Lampard has been more vocal about referees’ performances than most of our previous managers, and if it’s a deliberate strategy then it’s hard to say it’s workingReally want lampard to come out all guns blazing in the after match interview, reeling off every penalty decision not awarded. Laying into the officials
Finishing with we we’ll happily accept the fine, cause they are shit.
Have the rules changed where it's ok if it's not a kick or trip?I wonder if we’ve got a reputation for going down easily amongst refs. A lot of these shouts have been bodily contact rather than kicks or trips.
Not seen that either, but a red when Haji is last man and one for trying to hit Kitching. Not sure he connected but no different to what Thomas did at Blues.Haven't seen the one on mve again, in real time it looks like their player led with his arm into mves face
The commentator was of the opinion he didn't trip EMC but the defender clearly moved his body into Ephron's stride ensuring he would fall that's a penalty as far as I'm concerned.Thought the first pen appeal would have been harsh but would love to see a replay. The second one on EMC seemed nailed on - even more bizarre is watching the replay and the commentator seems to still think it’s not a penaltyI guess it’s a game of opinions…
In what world isn't that a pen? Have the rules changed? The commentator was of the opinion he didn't trip EMC but the defender clearly moved his body into Ephron's stride ensuring he would fall that's a penalty as far as I'm concerned.
I said that too his foot/feet were over the line but the referees snitch didn't see it!Something that the ref and linos missed today were the constant foul throws from their left back, Thomas. His foot was over the line every time he took a long throw.
Compared to missed penalties it's nothing, but it helps set the tone for poor officiating.
Yeah he goes into his left legHaji penalty claim
Did you read my post lolHave the rules changed where it's ok if it's not a kick or trip?
