Missing the penalty was abysmal.

Not in the same league of 'wtf' as the weekend, though. Though giving it to their goalie was weird when it hit him.

No excuse for missing the handball. Right in front of him, clear view of it.

Wouldn't say he was as bad as the absolute cockwomble we had at the weekend, mind you. But still hugely frustrating.

He was truly awful and did anyone else clock that he kept making us go back and take throws from where he deemed to be the right spot, but then on at least 3 occasions, Pompey players were edging up to 10 yards further up the pitch each time and he did nothing

What’s the point anymore, nothing will ever happen about it, no doubt will be the same next week and the week after.

Cu*ts on about 50k a year and can’t even do the basics right. Absolutely pathetic!

The lack of a card for that hack in the first half was baffling too.

He was really not picky with some things and then he let loads go, where he should have given fouls and free-kicks

Made Collins move the ball three times for his free kick!

Is it an orange shirt thing?

Can someone explain why him getting in the way of the ball when we were in possession means they get the ball back? That just makes no sense as a rule

His positioning for the penalty call was spot on. His decision-making? Atrocious.

Only negative about tonight was the ref. I was actually fuming with his performance up untill the 94 minute. The goal helped wash away some of the annoyance but it shouldn't be forgotten how actually abysmal he was.

He clearly wanted to be centre of attention, absolute bellend. Linesman in the second half wasn’t much better, couldn’t keep up with play and missed 2/3 clear offsides

Absolute cynical foul that, Sakamoto would have been away. No idea why he didn’t deem that a yellow card offence.

Sooner or later we have to get a ref who controls the game better. The lack of cards to stop continuously fouls, kicking the ball away, stopping flow by rolling around and taking an age to get off the pitch when subbed is ridiculous. I bet the 1st time we do it will get pulled up.....

He played on, he wasn't going to even speak to him until the crowd and our players pointed it out.

The standard is dropping throughout the league and it’s worrying to be honest. Watched the Leeds game last night and two goals were disallowed for offside. One was in line and the other the guy was a yard on.

We‘ve now had two shockers back to back, the ref and the assistants. It does need looking at.

Poor decision for the penalty...it was gilt edged, so no excuse.
And how was there only 4 minutes injury time in the 1st half....Torp was on the floor way longer than that.

The linesman on our side of the pitch was also awful.

How he believes he can give offside correctly when he is in a different half of the pitch to the action is beyond me and many sat around this evening.

Missed Dozzell almost catching the ball from less than 10 yards away but spotted every minor infringement in the box from further away?

Law is if it hits the ref when the ball is last played out the box it’s keepers ball

it was shit to be hit though

Sorry I got in the way of your attack…to make up for it, I will give it back to their goalkeeper.

Something needs to be done about the standard of officiating.

As above we’ve had two shockers in a row hopefully we get decent ones for the next 2-3 at least
