Seems Reda has gone to Morocco before going in for his op! Whilst I get we will be paying his medical bill and rehab, part of my hopes more than ever he was on a pay as you play deal, and we're not paying him to be catching ray's in morocco!

You'd assume the club know about this and have given the OK. If he's either had his op or it is scheduled in at a later date for some reason and he can't do any training or anything why not go away for a bit.

I was right he's had his op, club probably gave him a few weeks off after operation.

Imagine what the premiums were on Reda I am not sure we would have insured him.

I had a new hip last year and went on holiday as soon as I was allowed to fly, a relaxing break all included and nice and warm was the best rehab ever.

Don't make much of a difference where he is now even if he was in cov it's not like he could help us this season now 4 to 6 months out minimum

He had surgery:

He probably has to let the surgery start to heal before even thinking about rehab. Is he not allowed to have a holiday because he is a footballer?

16 games into the season? Sorry but not going to wish a player a good holiday who is on a 1 year contract 1/3 of the way into the season.

I'm not saying I'm happy about it... the law states 28 days holiday per year (even for footballers)... most of the time that holiday will occur during July for footballers - but most likely Reda will be in rehab in July if he stays with us.

Don't get the issue. He's injured because of an accident at work. He's probably insured, if not he's at least not getting his bonuses. He's had his op so all he would be doing in Cov is sat on the sofa watching Cash in the Attic. If he rests up and that helps his recovery, what's the problem?

Sounds like jealousy to me.

Can you take a holiday while off sick though?

You can if it aids your mental state and encourages you to get well quicker and of course get permission from your employers

Don't know, but if you're sick while on holiday you can claim that holiday back from work
