Lets all sing together
Play up, Reds and Greens ....

I'm not sure

I have to admire those making the effort, I don't want our current situation either but am I the only one ever so slightly embarrassed about this?

Well if we all wore sky blue in protest we wouldn't really stand out would we?

Red and green is the way to go. It's symbolic of the importance of the City and its people to the club.

I'm getting older and thus become a little apathetic to life but I agree 100% with this move. If SISU don't want to sel us until they get 'a fair deal' in their eyes then they are going to milk us dry at every opportunity. The academy kids will be sold off unless we are in the play-offs and can you imagine the ticket pricesif we dare to go up. I for one was grateful they help rescue us but like a loaf of bread they have past their sell by date and are ow becoming mouldy. Time to get anyone in who cares for the club.

Never look a gift horse...

You say the Man United protest never worked but they have certainly spent a lot of money in the last 12 months and haven't the Glazers reduced the debt

I'm afraid it didn't work. If anything it just showed how fickle the fans are. They make loads of noise when the club aren't winning. As soon as they are top of the league they have no problem at all with having 1/3 of a billion quids worth of debt linked to the club.

I do find this all a bit embarrasing as there is no alternative. I know this sounds like I'm being obnoxious, but what would it take for someone to stand up and cheer SISU for pouring the profits from other parts of their business into a failing club? If I was them I'd just call it quits and leave a sealed envelope on my desk to be opened in 3 months with a note that simply read "You should never look a gift horse in the mouth".

They have put a small amount of funds aside to avoid their 'investment project' from going into administration, therefore losing them any slim chance they had of getting a return.

As far as investing in our club's future goes, actions speak louder than words and in a season in which we are having to field 17 year olds they've used the transfer window to let four of our best players go and only bring in one unproven striker.

Cutting costs only works if you also have the footballing know-how to do it without damaging the club's chances of maintaining their league status. That know-how left the club last season when it was became clear that the powers that be were no longer acting in the football club's best interests, but their own.

So now we are left with a depleted and inexperienced squad and all of the evidence so far suggests that the owners have bigger priorities than little old Coventry City.

I don't know about you but I'm a Coventry City supporter not a SISU supporter; and for that reason, I'm out.
