'Food for thought' seems to be the phrase used by Pressley after today. Some big decisions for him to make over the next couple of weeks. This formation certainly seems to suit us and give us a lot more threat, and significantly allows us to accommodate more than 1 striker at a time. Personally I would like to us keep Madine permanently along with Nouble. Id send McQuoid back. Tudgay is a difficult one but if we stick with this formation I'd keep him.

I think the back four has been underrated for a few weeks now since Martin and Pennington's arrival.

I think our main priority should be a bit more of a goal threat from midfield and some pace in there. A few weeks ago I would have also said a strong holding man but I'm very pleased Conor Thomas has come back and looked good. I've always felt he was a good player and it seems the break may have served him well.

When we were linked with Kirkland I would have snapped your hand off for him ahead of Alsop but credit where it's due he's been a lot more assured since he replaced Burge. If we working within a limited budget this becomes less of a priority for me at the moment (even though I'm not 100% convinced by Alsop).

Should be an interesting few weeks.
