I’m currently in Indonesia so we can talk Rupiah if you wish. 1,000,000 rupiah is £50

From our squad I think we’d struggle to get a fee for:
Wilson, Collins, Dasilva, Bidwell, Allen, Tavares, Raphael
Now the players we can get money for (my opinion on current top value):
Dovin - £3m
Thomas - £4m
Kitching - £1.5m
Latibeaudiere - £1.5m
Binks - £1m
van Ewijk - £8.5m
Sheaf - £9m
Eccles - £5.5m
Rudoni - £8m
Torp - £1m
Sakamoto - £2.5m
Mason-Clark - £6.5m
Wright - £17.5m
Simms - £9m
Asante - £1m
Bassette - £2.5m

Total - £79m
profit - £36.85m (based on Transfermarkt fees)

You’re never getting £4m+ for Eccles that’s nuts and I love the guy.

If he were to move you’d get at least £3m. He’s young, long contract, English and been one of our best performers this year

Agreed may have over valued him but I genuinely have no clue how to considering he’s an academy product and young English, long contract, good stats and a more than decent player at this level just slightly inconsistent and with his position as well makes it even tougher to value

Given Eccles age, length of contract and Championship experience I think £4m is not far off, given we bought Kitching and EMC from League 1 for round about that figure.

If what we pay is a guide I’m worth at least £1m

So we would sell Wright for almost as much as Vik? I like the guy but can't see more than 12. Eccles 4 million? Wow

Vik was out of contract and went for less than maximum value, Haji’s maximum value probably is just below what we sold Vik for (if he keeps up his scoring rate)

Who's he going to who would pay £3 million?

He'd only be going sideways or even a step down?

50,000 so about £2.45 but if you get from one of the convenience stores it’s about 35,000 so £1.70

There’s some absolutely crazy figures being banded about in this thread.

I'd be fairly unimpressed if my club spent 20 mill on him. Imagine if his first few game were those ones when he looks like he wearing clown shoes and has a 20kg rucksack on his back

There are all sorts of bonuses for player achievements, loyalty, signing on, travel and so on in a contract some or all of which may never be triggered and the fees in including parts of the unconditional fee may be paid on a schedule rather than when the contract is signed. Any discussion about transfer fees usually brushes aside such complexities so whatever is in the media should be taken with a pinch of salt. However there may be some amortisation figures in club accounts which (if you are sufficiently nerdy and obsessive, I'm not) could be used to estimate overall club expenditure on transfer. There are certainly some figures in the accounts related to transfer business but it's a while since I've looked & I can't remember what's presented there.

What's in a contract? Salary, add-ons, transfer fee and more

Football contracts are long, confusing and full of jargon. Here's everything you need to know as the transfer window comes to a close.
