Reason for poor form at the Ricoh (1 Viewer)

I was thinking that maybe the reason that we are playing so badly at 'home' is because the players are aware of the fact that there are hostilities between ACL and SISU so dont feel at home playing at the stadium. I cant help but think if we had our own stadium the players would actually enjoy playing there. Any thoughts?

Not buying that. I'm not better at football when I'm playing in my own garden as opposed to the park.

Probably more to do with the fact that there's no atmosphere. It really needs sorting out, the lack of it takes away from the match day experience.

Well its either that or visiting teams play at a higher intensity at the Ricoh as its probably the biggest stadium most of them have played at.

Belief is a critical dimension to psychology.
For instance if I'm your doctor and believe in a treatment that is very expensive you, as my patient, are going to believe too!
If on the other hand I, as your doctor, actually know that the pill is a water tablet served from a poisoned chalice and makes the condition worse for all recent cases then
chances are you'll pick up on the bad vibe.
This is why, with owners who patently have no understanding of the game and no interest in the club are like that water tablet and someone's prognosis.
When they're away its like a holiday from the stench of defeatism and moral and financial bankruptcy....there's a spring in their step...their ability is expressed and they "get better."

Its because we are not playing in our infamous Brazil strip!

At home we face teams that try to disrupt our style. They press us quicker, play a deeper back line and are much more organised across the back. When we can't score, the frustration sets in and the fans get on the players backs and then they become desperate and try too hard to force a goal (a la Crewe JPT home leg).

Away from home, other teams feel the pressure to win infront of their own crowd and that's when gaps open up for us to pass it round them.

Plenty of teams in this league will get a boost from coming to our ground (or ACL's ground, the council's ground blah blah blah) but we should be good enough and composed enough to deal with it. We don't have a plan b to overcome stubborn and dogged defending.
