Billy Gilmour could be worth a shout , AV Could use his Chelsea connections

If Billy Gilmour moves here he would already be the best midfielder in the championship. There’s a much better chance he becomes a permenant fixture in the Chelsea side next season

Absolutely no chance of that happening.

One or two pages on twitter suggesting we may be keen on Tom Clarke the Preston captain whose just been let go. Played most games the last two seasons in the Championship.

Maybe we could enquire about Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount while we’re at it?

Wonder if they'll send Werner out on loan. Would be good cover for Godden and Baka.

Full list of released players so far. Some half decent names on it.
Every EFL player released this season with City yet to publish retained list

He's on the verge of a first team place. No chance of even a loan mate.

I'll stand up for Daz here. Gilmore came in and did well but Chelsea are splashing cash left right and centre and whilst they undoubtedly utilised their youth system during their transfer ban. They will be ready to go money wise and Gilmore will be touted as a future star, he will surely not be a starter. Unfortunately for Daz more likely he goes to a Leeds or someone like that in the prem

If Gilmore goes on loan it will be to a Perm team. Easily good enough already for the Prem.

Billy Gilmore ?? Blood hell, he’s a likely starter at Chelsea. I’d be looking at who’s just underneath him there.

Jack Colback has been released, on 50k a week at Newcastle, think he'll be in for a shock when it comes to finding a new club.

Peterborough are doing a brilliant job of trying to push Toneys price up. Iv seen him linked with just about every league 1 team in the top 6. On top of that both Celtic and Rangers. even NYC red bulls.

Premier League clubs publish 2019/20 released lists

Released players from the Premier League... some interesting names on there. In the spirit of this forum I’ll suggest Callum O’Hare, George Thomas, Jamie Sterry and Michael Folivi

Jermaine Defoe even at 37 has to be worth a year to someone in the championship. Absolutely phenomenal finisher.

Here’s an optimistic and possibly not realistic one - Jordan Ibe. Knocked down a peg, maybe give him the chance to come the championship and star for us. Kind of use us as a stepping stone

I won't lie this had crossed my mind, but the more I think about it the less likely it seems.

The wages I believe would be a no go, and if we did pay him the money, would we want to be stumping up that much for someone who has been lacking confidence and might take a while to settle in.

Still, the reason it had crossed my mind is surely a fully on form Ibe would tear the championship apart. I feel though he'll end up at Leeds or west brom.
