Usual allocation is 2,100

although this can be raised to 4,300 if there is sufficient demand.

Surely we/the club should be pushing for the 4,300 - confident we'd sell them !!!

Can see they’ll be a lot of demand.

I have marked it as one to try and get ticket for but haven’t got my hopes up.

I thought there was some ridiculous reason why they never give more than the 2k?

I just googled it out of interest, as I was curious and intend to go, Was also curious about the 'on sale' date.

Edit: will try and google the 'ridiculous reason' ! Why turn down income? Off the top of my head, don't they try and put some of their rowdier element alongside the away fans - are they ST holders that can't be relocated?

If my memory serves me correctly, they only gave us 2k last year because it was their community day?

Yeah that might be it I think. Their fans are right next to the away fans and leave 3 stands mostly empty lol. Going to be a real scramble for tickets if it’s only 2k

I think 2k is it. They played Bristol City a couple of weeks back and they only received that allocation despite it being very local to them, so I wouldn't anticipate us getting any more.

Was a bit of trouble inside the ground at HT last year, so that might count against us getting a bigger allocation. Gonna be mad getting tickets for this one.

This is 50 miles nearer to me than the CBS so if I can’t get tickets in our section I’ll just go in with the home fans and try to be quiet.

Isn’t the reason they give a smaller allocation to everyone now cause they’ve stuck their more “vocal” fans behind the goal next to the away end?

Yeah that’s correct. 2K is the max anyone gets now.

Go past the ground & official parking and there is a new build housing estate. Found it by mistake last year and lots of street parking. You then walk through all the tech buildings and cross the river into the official parking. It’s free and less than 10 min walk.

Stupid when they can't sell out and they'd be guaranteed income from another 2.5k fans.

Yep and they say the same thing. I work with a Reading fan and they’ve sold season tickets in that section so no chance of a bigger allocation. Like someone else said earlier it also kicked off in the ground at half time with flares behind thrown back and forth. We also had a small group in the home end which didn’t go down to well, they were older blokes and almost kicked off.

Really? I'm probably going to massively jinx this now but it was one of the easiest trips I made last season, parked in some place over a river from the stadium and had no issues.

Bristol isn’t “very” local to Reading

In football league terms it is. One of their closest games.

It is further than I thought to be fair, but still one of their easiest games to travel to being straight down the M4.

Unfortunately another club at this level that cannot sell out but will only give us 2k.

Stoke the same. Half empty but limited allocation. The days of huge allocations are near gone. Besides us, Preston and Blackburn, most are below 3k.

Surely at some point it’s a safety issue? If you restrict away fans and have loads of seats in the home end of course people are going to go there.

I remember last year at Reading there were loads of Coventry fans in the home section to the left. The locals weren't happy.
