Charles cook - 8 handling was excellent today and no chance with the goal he also threw the ball out very well

Ricketts - 8 excellent RB and CB today

Turner - 8 was excellent for the 50 mins he played top top class

Martin - 8.5 excellent few months for him and he really seemed to enjoy playing with turner

Stokes - 8 veey solid and excellent run for the 4th. He also kept going second half when others may have taken their foot off the pedal

Job - 8.5 his engine was superb, absolutely superb. Pass for 3rd goal was great

Fleck - 8.5 brilliant

Vincelot - 8.5 brilliant and again kept things going second half. What a signing!

Kent - 7.5 often worth the entrance fee on his own for sublime bits of skill. Great balls second half across the box and to play arma in

Murphy - 9 mom 45 mins of pacy attacking flair that left us speechless

Arma - 8 kept running brilliantly and must be gutted not to score. Seemed genuinely happy for murph

Subs

Phillips - 7 didn't put a foot wrong and made some excellent tackles

Bigi - 6.5 poor start but I thought he showed glimpses of being an able deputy to fleck / vincelot

Haynes - not long enough

Mowbray - 10 Murphy is great through the centre. So many players playing together as a team where the performance of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts

Charles-Cook - 6.5 Handling was good, but one dodgy clearance where he delayed and the kick was nearly blocked.

Ricketts - 8. Calm and assured.

Turner - 8. Steady as a rock

Martin - 8.5 . Best game I have seen from him today. Near faultless.

Stokes - 7.5. Very steady game and set up that fourth goal beautifully.

Job - 8. another high octance, energy filled performance from our former captain.

Fleck - 8.5. Absolutely outstanding in that first half. Did take his foot off the gas a little in the second half and was caught in possession just outside our own box that could have cost us a goal.

Vincelot - 8.5. Couple of sloppy passes in the first half, otherwise a top display from my favourite City player (not loan).

Kent - 7.5. Great trickery and a real handful. Faded a little in the second half.

Murphy - 9. MOTM. Unstoppable today.

Arma - 6.5 Worked his socks off and his off the ball movement was top class.

Subs

Phillips - 7. Did well when he came on.

Bigi - 4. Really poor return to the Sky Blue fold. Maybe needs more time to get match fit, but lost possession on a number of occasions.

Haynes - n/a

So why only 9? A strikers job is to score and he got a hat-trick, which is a rare occurance especially at this club. Maybe you were expecting another hat-trick in the 2nd half?

I guess because he went off on 63 mins and didn't play the entire game.

What he did was pretty near perfect, therefore a 9. Don't think I have ever given anyone a 10 as I recall.

Agree, but he was still very dangerous and was giving their defence a tough time on a number of occasions.

But he didn't do anything outstanding did he? He caught a couple of crosses, but nothing under pressure. Only had shots straight at him and made that one mistake. I had him at 6.5, but 6 isn't that far off. 5 is average, 6 is just above average.

Sounds about right I reckon.

Not as crazy as your 6.5 for bigi.

6 is a solid score, he was in no mans land for the header off the line, and didn't even dive for their goal, which wasn't even hit that hard, I can remember Burge getting hammered on here for something similar. His handling overall was excellent, but he also played us into trouble a number of times with his clearances in the second half.

RCC 7.5 calm and composed relatively quiet afternoon

Ricketts 8 never realised he was this goood effortless classy performance

Turner 8 won all his headers, looked assured on his return

Martin 8.5 excellent faultless display nearly capped with a goal

Stokes 8 strong as an ox, got forward well and a great assist

JOB 7.5 did all the donkey work in a tireless performance

Fleck 8 lived up to all the hype, almost faultless

Vincelot 8 worked tirelessly breaking up play and kept us ticking over

Murphy 10 hattrick what more can I say

Armstrong 7 worked hard, great movement, probably should have scored when he hit the post?

Kent 7 some bright moments with sublime skills, but no end product, quiet second half but starved of the ball to some extend

Phillips 7 solid with some great tackles, looks a little lost going forward

Bigi 5 very poor but probably trying to hard

Haynes N/A

Exceptional team performance especially first half, personally would have kept Murphy on, I think he would have ran them ragged.

Their RB was built like a brick shit house, shoulder barged JOB in the first half onto his ass. Kent was nowhere near as effective on that side, but first half he was dangerous and he got an assist. No-one deserves below a 7 who played in that first half. A 6 implies he's done something wrong (Going on FM rating system).

I expected more from Gillingham, thought they were poor from 1 to 11. Defensively they were a shambles, so many holes in their midfield and defence in the first half.

Dack took his goal pretty smartly but other than that he was quiet. Mcdonald was dross, don't think anyone even knew he was playing until he came off. Samuel looked lively but we kept him quiet.

Did anyone else notice how McDonald would be about 10 yards offside for every one of their goal kicks and never got called for it?

You can't be offside from a goal kick.

Dack the Jonathan Greening lookalike? (Might have scored)

He looked decent after he decided he wanted to play football after about 60 minutes. Spent the first 60 kicking lumps out of our players.

Shame they didn't pick Cody or Samuel today......

Yes that's him, a dirty bugger but their best player I thought.

I didn't realise Cody was playing until the second half, and that's only because he was nearer to us.

Bigi was shocking when he came on. Puttting it down to lack of game time.

Ben Turner was fantasic! What an addition to the squad to help with our defensive pronlems.

Well done to Murphy - definitely MOTM.

For those of you who haven't scored Kent highly or even Arma, their tireless interchanging created an awful lot of space and the two of them with Murphy were unplayable in the first half with fleck pulling the strings from the middle of the park. Job good,Vincent good, Turner showed what defence has missed in terms of presence since reda has been out. Difficult to assess 2nd half as game was over and took foot off the gas, but momentum had gone and the changes made us look vulnerable.
