Think it's time to get Bidwell back in.

Wright and Simms did well.

Eccles also.

Need to be more direct as it's clear the other shite isn't working

The game felt like it came in waves.

We actually looked dangerous later on in the last period and the formation was a breath of fresh air all second half.

Hard to say anyone was decent throughout but I felt Eccles and Simms looked good when they came on. At least met the game with some attitude. Bidwell too. Loved it when he smashed Evans at the end like some sort of sick swan song.

Need to stick with this formation and bring in the likes of Eccles, Simms, and Bidwell.

Wilson 4 (started the calamities)
Latibeudiere 6 (not a wingback but looked better at RB)
Thomas 7 (best game for a long while)
McFadzean 5 (careless decision making for the penalty)
Kitching 5 (pathetic positioning for third goal. What has Binks done wrong?)
Da Silva 4 (giving the ball away in dangerous areas all too often. Header that led to goal was schoolboy)
Sheaf 7.5 (on his own in first half. Got on the ball in the second and orchestrated things alongside Eccles)
Allen 6 (busy as usual and provided a regular outlet)
Ayari 5.5 (a bit more physicality than previous but not involved enough)
Godden 6 (involved in Wright's tap-in and put in his usual shift)
Wright 6 (awful before his goal. In the right place at the right time for both but lack of aggression is a real concern)

Bidwell 7.5 motm (solid and combined well with O'Hare. Put numerous decent deliveries.
Eccles 7.5 (made an impact. Actually looked a leader)
Simms 7 (great to see him running at defenders. Could have done better with his final ball / shot but looked hungry)
O'Hare 7 (finds the pockets better than anyone and always looking for combinations to unlock something. Looked that little bit sharper but will take time)
Van Ewijk 5.5

Wilson 5 poor at saving shots and poor using the ball
Lati 6 was very negative first half, not sure what position he was second but was a bit better
JDS 5 not sure he even entered their half first half
Kitching 6 I do like the way he pushes forward and commits players, not sure otherwise
Fadz 5 looking his age
Thomas 6 drove us forward well second half
Sheaf 7 easily our best player
Allen 5 not a sitting midfielder
Ayari 3 not a midfielder
Wright 6 can't really complain about his striker's instinct after that
Godden 5 like Fadz just looking so slow

Subs
Simms 7 was good, powerful running
Eccles 7 kept us ticking over
MVE 6 final ball just isn't there but still creates a better shape
O'Hare 6 off the pace but again creates space

Robins 5 knee jerk change to the team from the start, seems a inconsistent between actions and words

Needs to figure the fuck out what the team is and stick with it for a bit. We all have our own ideas but this chopping and changing can’t be helping things

Tbf he looks fir the tap in and he gets them. So fair play.

But when going gets tough hes abysmal.

Cant wait fur another 98 mins where he waits for a tap in.

First half we were awful.
Looks like Robins stumbled across another formation that we looked good in 2nd half.
Time for Wilson Fadz and JDS to warm the bench.
Good second half from Simms, Bidwell and Eccles.

Wilson - 3: Being shown up this season. I wouldn't bet on him catching COVID in Wuhan, let alone a simple shot.

Lati - 5: Don't mind him at RB personally.

Thomas - 4: What's happened to him?
Fadz - 4: Robins seems to be clear that the second goal was offside. It wasn't a penalty but gave an inept referee a decision to make.
Kitching - 5
DaSilva - 4: like the rest, his performance has dropped of when the going gets tough.

Sheaf - 5: Like Eccles, he's expected to do things he shouldn't be now Hamer has gone.
Allen - 5
Ayari - 4: Worrying having a player like him when you're struggling. I'm sure he'd have been fine last season in a better side.

Godden - 5: forgot he was on.
Haji - Not quite sure how to rate him. His body language is garbage but now has 4 goals and 2 (according to Google) assists. He was generally shite.

Subs
Simms - 6: Impressed with him. Could have gone down for a penalty but was too honest. Worked hard and made some good runs. He's showing a lot more than earlier in the season.
O'Hare - 5: Odd nice touch. Better than Ayari.
Bidwell - better than DaSilva
MVE - please let Thomas have the long throw.
Eccles 5 - As with Sheaf, he's expected to get forward and create. I still think he did ok. I think he gets treated unfairly by some.

Robins
Glad he gambled. Fans in the stand clearly still with him at the end. Wish he put Sakamoto on.

Ref and his officials
Lack of consistency is a worry. Not enough stoppage time for the endless time wasting. Never a penalty. Robins seems sure the second is offside. We really need to hope we get some decisions in our favour soon.

Wilson 4 head is gone
Thomas 5 plays himself into trouble at times
Fadz 4 needs to be phased out now, regularly exposed
Kitching 4.5 good at times but terrible for the third and a few passes went awry
Lati 5 definitely tries but not sure he offers much
JDS 4 cost us a goal, needs dropping for bidwell
Allen 5 poor
Sheaf 7 excellent second half
Ayari 4 mostly anonymous
Godden 6 worked hard and some good lay offs at times
Wright 7 can be goofy at times but give him minutes and service and he will score. Chance magnet.

Subs
Simms 7 best game for us I think
Eccles 7 mature and composed performance
O'Hare 6 tried too much at times but the talent is clear
Bidwell 7 put in a number of good crosses and looked composed
MVE 5 strange sub out of position

The second one isn't close. Haji has done very well to pounce on it.

The Preston third goal is very tight. As tight as the Haji first goal.

It might seem a strange thing to say but those two goals by Wright were simple tap ins and not really of much merit. Another non impactful performance by him sadly.

A bit better from Ellis Simms today, he did try and did offer a threat when out wide.
