Amazed at the good marks for Kane - he was completely off the pace today. Bizarre that we kept funnelling him the ball (just like we did last season).

It appeared he strangely never seemed to like Marosi. Not sure if it was because he'd just left the club

On a bright note, i had 20quid on Blackpool at 3/1. Chinese, 12 cans and a 1 night subscription to Babestation Xtra.

Bidwell is a weird one as well. Does a job defensively, but that’s seems to be all he’s got in his locker. One point today he had the ball in their corner and set his body up to stand off his man and defend. Their defender just went “cheers” and took the ball off him. All he had to do was whip it in. To an empty box granted, but still.

And he runs like a crab

To be fair to Kane he does find space well. Not saying he’s great but finding space going forward is a good attribute of his.

Got more decent balls into the box in one game than Dabo and Bidwell have most of the season. Of course we do that when there’s no striker on the pitch to take advantage.

I think his ability to find space was a product of Blackpool not giving a shit about him ambling up the wing and - on the rare occasion that he could outpace the fullback - floating in a cross towards O’Hare and Allen. He made me long for Dabo. He made me long for Eccles ffs.

he finds space because he is out of position all the time.

He’s a one-dimensional player and whenever he plays we become a one-dimensional team. Blackpool probably couldn’t believe their luck that we were funnelling it to him all afternoon with zero aerial threat up front.

I'd feel harsh throwing some low numbers around when it sounds like there have been enough number 2s going through the squad as it is.

Kane, at best, was shite. The core of this team, players like Hamer, O’hare, Palmer, Gyokeres and Sheaf are top end of the championship. They are however massively let down by league one standard wing backs that can’t cross or beat a man. We are incredibly ineffective when the ball goes out wide. Bidwell defensively is great but if we want to compete at this level, we need to have a threat in the wide areas.

Bidwell 5
Sheaf 6
Hamer 8
Allen 6
O'Hare 7
Palmer 7

How we only conceded two I’ll never know. Don’t think we won a header at the back all game. Can’t argue with getting beat.

First half was so poor by both teams it didn’t even feel like we were 1-0 up at half time.

If half the team that started are ill then I’ll let today slide, poor day at the office. But 2-1 did flatter us slightly.

Thought he started the season OK actually, and I’m a big fan but last few games he’s been really poor. Weirdly not in the same way as he was when he first came, more like he’s carrying something or has mental problems getting up for it.

Wilson - 4 not been one on his back, but a lot of todays defensive disorganisation came from him
Kane - 6 not a bad return to the team
Bidwell - 5 poor for 2nd goal, seemed lethargic like he has had or is about to get the sickness bug
Doyle - 4 very poor, with the equaliser his particular low point
Fadz - 5 even he was off it today, not the defender we've seen in the last month or so
Panzo - 4 looked completely lost
Hamer - 6 fairly solid game at odds with those around him
Sheaf - 4 poor passing and poor marking, one of his worst games for us
Allen - 5 ran around a lot but mostly was ineffectual and anonymous
O'Hare - 7 our stand out player, to get 90 minutes out of him a definite bonus
Palmer - 5 not his fault being played in an unfamiliar position but doing so badly affected the team shape, nice goal shame about the miss though

They should have battered us really but having ridden our luck and getting ahead it was sickening to concede such a soft equaliser. Of course football being football they got the winner following the only spell in the game when it seemed like we had got on top. It was such a disjointed performance at odds with the norm, that hopefully it was largely due to the effect of the sickness bug rather than any more long term issues.

Pretty poor today, lots of sloppy passing and crap defending. I thought Hamer, O'Hare and Palmer did pretty well in the main but am not holding out much hope for Tuesday's game (wherever the hell we end up playing it).

I think the whole set up was poor. Why play wingbacks and then essentially a back 3 when you’ve got no one to get on the end of a cross to head it. Blackpool have got aerial threat and it showed and hence it made sense for them to pump crosses in.

We were better through the middle playing to feet and running in.

Allen is short and his legs move quickly and therefore he’s deceptively slow. IE he’s slow as fook. Neither use nor ornament. Often outpaced and can’t get in the end of à throughball. You know I’m right when you think back.

Better would have been to have a flat 4 Fadz Rose Doye. 5 midfield Sheaf deep Hamer and Calum roaming and our wingbacks as wide mids passing and running in.

Palmer up front ok.

Going forward;

As for our strikers there’s only Vic who can play this level. Waghorn and Godden have been good but time and injury has taken their movement and pace. Time to go. No time for sentiment. Walker? Never been any use. Tavares needs to go out on loan.
