Yup, that is probably fair, but I thought Panzo's distribution out of defence was very, very poor and he nearly put us in danger on a few occasions. He also had a 50p piece head at times for headers.

I agree with the marking down of Dabo because he should have been sent off and was very lucky not to have been. You can't be that reckless when already on a booking.

Just because we kept a clean sheet doesn’t mean they had good games. Panzo tonight was a shadow of the player he was in Cardiff. Dabo was lucky to still be on the field 10 minutes very not the 2nd half.

Difficult one to mark, but agree with most of this.

a battling win against a top side should give 8’s or 9’s all round, but, Although SU pressed well, I thought we could have won that easily if in good form Ourselves.

SU made so many errors, especially first half, played the ball over our goal line without challenges etc. They were not in great form.. Better team, yes, but Not in great form.

We won that with Panzo only a 5 in my eyes, Sheaf I thought was only average, so a 5. The rest as above.

We won that without playing anywhere near our best.

So, a Great 3 Points

I think we have played four of the top six already (Norwich, Burnley, Luton, Sheffield Utd) three of which are expected to challenge for promotion. We need fear no one in this league and we have not hit form ourselves yet tbf. One defeat in the last 7 is that now? It may have not looked attractive stuff for us, but grinding out performances and results makes a big difference in this league.
Godden's game is not working for him in this style we are playing. I would like to try Palmer as the extra man in midfield with O'Hare in for Allen. If Palmer and O'hare can form a partnership with Sheaf and hamer behind them we may have a more threatening side and retain the ball more.

Think it's been a case of trying to grind out results since Luton. Certainly without Hamer and Ohare we have done exceptionally well to get the points we have in the last 6 games. Once we pick up a couple more wins it would be nice to see us become a bit free-er, especially against the lesser sides in the league. Robins certainly knows what he is doing. What a man

Eccles, Rose and McFadzean had great games followed closely by Bidwell, Wilson and Allen.

Sheaf had a frustrating game, just couldn't find the right option. The other annoying thing, especially first half, when we seemed to look to get Panzo on the ball all the time playing out from the back. The problem was half the time he wasnt in enough space when given the ball.

But a guttsy performance where the team kept going. Chances were few and far between like against Burnley. Another game where both defences took the plaudits.

Another clean sheet and confidence seems to be coming back. I though the atmosphere was terrific and the fans stuck with the team.

Thought Allen was decent last night. Was trying to make something happen at least. Turgid game, 6's across the board, except for the following

Wilson 7
Dabo 5
Allen 7
Godden 4
Palmer 7
Waghorn 7

Personally I think Doyle is the better defender on the left side not the right but Panzo has the pace.

Not sure I get the criticism of Sheaf. I thought he was good.

McFadzean and Rose were excellent. Impressed with Ecclss too.

80 touches (most in the team)
4 tackles (most in the team
3 interceptions (most in the team)
1 clearance
1 blocked shots
2 key passes (most in the team)
2 aerials won
2 dribbles (only Gyokeres with 4 had more)
53 passes (most in the team)
69.8% pass completed (Allen only midfielder who had higher % completion rate)

His pass completion a lot lower than normal but in the context of Sheffield United high press and the fact we are now going more direct.

Is it the sponsors who give the Man of the Match in the ground?
He got that too.

Wilson - 6 nothing to do
Dabo - 6 - limited as an attacking force, got stuck in well. One awful cross lives in the memory. His yellow was outrageous but was lucky not to get two
Bidwell - 6.5 very secure but not at his best. His yellow was outrageous too
Panzo - 7 least impressive of the back 3 but stood up well and battled all evening
Mcfadzean - 8 if not more. His yellow was outrageous too. Utterly dominant
Rose - 7.5 well impressed with how he battled as he’s normally such a wet lettuce. Good pace always look to progress the ball. Quality not good last night though
Sheaf - 7 once again yellow in the context of the game was debatable. He is such a competent player that it’s easy to just remember the bits he gets wrong. When he won the ball in their half twice and did nothing with it - that’s what I mean. His discipline after being booked in the first half was excellent
Eccles - 7 I wonder if I watch a different game sometimes. His score went down when playing right back. Why didn’t kane come on??? In midfield he was neat and tidy and got stuck in. Was impressed
Allen - 6 mainly for his engine and battling and hassling. On the ball he was poor
Godden - 5 like playing with 10 men. Not his fault but he was so poor. Lots of effort no quality at all
Gyokeres 6.5 would have been lower but for winning the game. They played him brilliantly and I include the ref in that ‘they’. Got nothing off the ref until the pen but always looking to make stuff happen. We’re gonna miss him and if we don’t replace we risk a relegation battle

Subs
Hamer - 6 his for me. Good run for his Shot. The other shot oh my. Needs to take games by the scruff of the neck
Palmer - 7 excellent cameo got stuck in and should have had a pen
Waghorn - 6 naffs me off so much how he shows for feet and the ball is played and he jogs off as if he’s going for a ball over the top. Every bloody time!!! Anyway what a pen!!!
Tavares - na

Robins - 8 got lucky with the result but deserves such credit for changing the way we play to pick up results and points

Wish we had Ben Turner coming through the academy now, would be the perfect apprentice.
