He did make the great save, he seems to fumble a lot too and the goal was soft

Thorn 10! 2 great signings, chose the correct team, did the right thing bringing on bell for pitbull.

all get 10 off me we won what a shock my old heart cant stand this

Murphy 6- Would have been a 7 but I felt he could have done better with their goalm and he nearly messed up just after that
Christie 7- Was up and down the flank all game, put in some great crosses but sometimes lacks a bit positionally when defending
Hermann 7- Solid debut, will be interesting when someone with genuine pace gets running at him
Keogh 7- Typically classy performance
Cranie 7- Did all that was asked of him
Clingan 8- First half he was average, second half he took control of the game and nearly all of our attacks were started by him
Deegan 6- Struggled to get into the game a bit but solid nonetheless
Thomas 7- This lad has got a big future, looks so assured for an eighteen year old playing in a struggling team
McSheffrey 8- Took his goal well, nearly looks back to his best
Platt 8- Fair play to him, I'm one of his biggest critics but he was superb. Still lacks the killer instinct to score goals though
Nimely 9- Superb debut, great movement, intelligent and got pace to burn. I can see why Man City gave him a new 4 year contract

Bell 8- Put in some great crosses and that pass to Nimely was top drawer. I wish he could play like that more consistantly
Eastwood 6- Showed great intelligence with his passing but should have squared it to Nimely at the end

Don't get the Clingan marks.

Apart from some very good corners he put in I thought he was distinctly average and a couple of mistakes lead to Boro chances that could well have ended in goals.

Murphy 7 - It would have been higher but there were a couple of things he should have done better with, one of them being the goal.

Christie 7 - Looked solid defensively, got down the line well but a couple of poor crosses.
Keogh 8 - Looked solid, he made a couple of mistakes but he was putting them right straight away.
Cranie 8 - As Keogh
Herman 7 - Looked completely unfit first fifteen minutes, but then his experience told and he was organising everything, could have done better for the goal.

Clingan 7 - Gave the ball away a few times early but seemed to look so much more composed in the second half
Thomas 7 - Solid but unspectacular
Deegan 6 - Did his normal thing of getting into the oppositions faces, could have done more on the ball.
Mcsheffrey 8 - The best I have seen him play for a long time, his movement was good and always looked dangerous when he had the ball, took his goal well.

Platt 9 - He was an absolute beast in the air, the Middlesboro defenders must have hated playing against him, held the ball up well, and was a good partner for Nimely.
Nimely 9 - What a difference it makes having a player with pace and skill, he made their defence look completely foolish a few times, the dummy pass to send Christie through was something I haven't seen from a Coventry player in years.

Bell 7 - some superb passing from him, and he got forward well.
Eastwood n/a - not really on long enough to warrant a mark.

Thorn 9 - Got his tactics spot on, by changing the shape slightly Middlesboro seemed to struggle with us when we going forward, great decision bringing Bell on for Deegan.
