Direct isn’t a negative. Gyokeres is not great at interplay he’s great at stretching defences and running channels. Today we did that.
I have to be honest I think Maatsen isn’t that great and defensively he’s very poor. Against Luton he was atrocious

Vik doing the second striker role / workhorse ... godden the box striker works well for us .. they've 25 goals basically between them .

I didn’t make Luton G, so can’t comment, but I think Maatsen was fairly solid today, and gave us an option down his flank.

I have said many times I think when he’s not scoring he’s a total passenger. Was the same today. Fortunately he had that chance which O’Hare put on a plate for him that he finished.Have you said he’s not good enough at all?

I do think sometimes you ignore the closing down etc , I don't think we should argue about it now , rather watch what work he puts in on Wednesday ... Il give you Luton wasn't great , but he works very hard , he's not the same type of forward as vik..there arent many like vik in this league to be honest

In all fairness 5 of those 17 are penaltiesIf you said to a team in the championship , I have a striker here available for less than 10k a week , has scored 17 in 43 in this league over 2 seasons .. most teams outside the top 2 or 3 would consider having him in their squad .. it's a good record for somebody who is deemed not at the level.
