Just hoping Everton and Burnley are relegated tbh. Blackburn not to get promoted and Wigan to come up, jobs a good 'un for us north west based fans.

Absolutely racking my brain trying to think what Waghorn did for people to say he wasn’t awful? I thought he was atrocious.

Hamer only player worth his wages this week for me.

Moore - 5 - Perhaps could have done better for the goal, but the story was at the other end really.
Kane - 5 - Always looks like he is going to come off second best. Don´t back him to beat a man or push forward that much. Good cross at the end.
Rose - 4 - At fault for the goal and just a bit of a liability generally. Every since his agent got smart on Twitter he has been a bit dodgy.
Fadz - 6 - Won some important duels and took a yellow, not much else to say.
JCS - 6 - He has been pretty solid lately. His body language at the end just smacked of defeat before the whistle had blown which I didn´t like.
Maatsen - 5 - Really not sure about his ability at this level, let alone Chelsea.
Hamer - 8 - MOTM. Played really well.
Allen - 7 - Did a lot of bits and pieces, although nothing outstanding.
Waghorn - 6.5 - Some things didn´t come off but his application was there and overall he did look better today.
Godden - 4 - Scuffed the chance at the start otherwise completely anonymous.
Gyo - 5 - Constantly tries to run at defenders and very rarely beats them, which results in him losing the ball a lot. It is frustrating.

O´Hare - 5 - Missed probably the chance of the game. The absence of him didn´t really prove anything. Our biggest problem is finishing our chances, and we made plenty before he came on today anyway.
Tavares - 6 - A lot of enthusiasm which is nice to see. I would like him to get a bit more game time.

Overall it was very disappointing. We started brightly and had some decent chances. The same pattern repeated however and we see a team take one of their chances that would take us about 6 or 7 attempts to score. After that it went a bit flat and there isn´t much more to say. I am really frustrated with how impotent we are in front of goal. I can´t even find it funny any more.

Can’t take these posts seriously when there are players getting 7s and 8s in a home loss to Luton in which we had 3 chances all game.

The only positive I can think of is we didn’t concede as many as the away fixture.

fucking diabolical no-one deserves more than a 3.

There were times when he held the ball up well, created space and laid it off well.
Made some shit passes, and slowed the game down at times (sometimes not a bad thing) but still did a lot more positive than Godden.

Hamer had a decent game and tried to get things going

Maatsen had his poorest game for a while, just booting the ball at the first man all game

Allen is a reasonable squad player but we can't rely on him to start this many games

Rose was poor all round, starting to think we need more than 1 CB over the summer

Kane clearly needs a rest

Godden nowhere near ready to play that amount of time

Moore - 5
Kane - 4
Rose - 2
Fadz - 5
JCS -7
Maatsen - 6
Hamer - 7
Allen - 6
Waggy - 3
Gyok - 6
Godden - 4

Feel for Rose was a dreadful night for him, his form has hit rock bottom the last few games, but lack of numbers in the squad has cost us last few weeks and caught up with us.

Moore 6 Fine

Rose 5 Getting increasingly bizarre
McFadzean 6
JCS 5 He’ll be glad to not play Adebayo again for a while, some real shaky moments

Kane 5 Lost concentration too often tonight
Hamer 7 MOTM Looks PL-class one minute and psychotic the next, but his class is undeniable and so much of our play ran through him
Allen 6 Lots of energy, but offered little else
Maatsen 6 Does at least understand how to get forward and play in this system

Waghorn 6 Worked hard in an unfamiliar role but he’s never going to look dangerous in that position

Gyokeres 6 Barely in control of his own limbs at some points and finishing sub-par but he battled admirably
Godden 5 Apparently he played?

O’Hare 6 If only the roles had been reversed with him and Tavares for that chance then we might have swung a point
Tavares 6 Works hard and is obviously incredibly keen but didn’t do much. Other teams clearly have no idea what to do with him for the time being

Made a thread a few weeks ago about Moore getting beaten from tight angles too easily. Gets his angles terribly wrong

Can see what you're seeing, Godden has just come back from appendicitis and offered more than Waghorn, waghorn just killed every attack we had dead. Too slow and ponderous for our style of play

Moore 5 - soft goal. Nearly got caught out with a couple of short balls. Distributed down a dead end now and again.

Rose 5 - muppet play for the goal.

McFadzean 6 - bit slow but some decent, wise interceptions

JCS 7 - did well and made some decent forward passes

Kane 6 - some good balls, some bad balls. On balance - did ok.

Maatsen 6 - lively. Eager. Willing. Didn’t quite click but ok

Hamer 8 - different coffee first half. Quality. Unlucky.

Allen 6 - lively. Great effort. Didn’t click.

Waghorn 5 - I didn’t see great things from him.

Godden 6 - pressed and tried. Not his day.

Gyokeres 6 - battled. Should have stuck one in.

Subs
O'Hare 6.5 - don’t get the haters on here. Energy abc effort and has great balance. Can’t hit a barn door with a donkey’s banjo.

Tavares 6.5 - he’s got something.

Pretty much agree with the OP though I'd swap Kane and Maatsens scores. Maatsen more threatening going forwards.

He can be poor but tbf to him he does put at least one great ball in a game, can't say the same about Maatsen who for all his athleticism and enthusiasm makes poor choices most of the time. His crossing is wank.

For me kane struggles defensively , and recently his balls in have been shite besides the one great ball in tonight was slightly too early

3rd time in recent weeks that Moore has been beaten with a ball across him
Kane wasn't great tonight kept trying to go outside his man instead of an easy pass inside
Mcfadz continues to look off form
Rose fucking woeful
Jcs didn't look great tonight
Maatsen done naff all tonight except a header near the end
Hamer MOTM by a country mile but there was some sloppy passes at times
Allen ran around a bit ...too slow can't read the game nearly always gets there when the balls gone
Waghorn better than usual but thats not a compliment
Godden thought he had gone off after 14 seconds
Viktor held the ball up quite well but needs to pass indtead of trying for glory all the time

Ohare didn't really impact the game should have scored but I am sure if the keeper was on the bench and there was an open goal in front of him he would somehow find him with his shot
Tavares had 1 little run at their defence for the Ohare chance

Overall they were dirty bastards and we hadn't got a clue how to get the dirty swines sent off

Moore 5 - haven't seen it back but think was as much to blame for goal as anyone else

Rose 5 - giving equal blame for goal
Fadz 6
JCS 6
Kane 5 - poor game, doesnt look fit, dabo back in Saturday
Allen 7 - thought he had a solid game and our 2nd best player
Hamer 8 - comfortably MOTM, best player on pitch
Maatsen 6
Waghorn 6
Godden 5 - nothing game, missed early chance
Gyokeres 5 - should have scored when out through by hamer in 1st half

O’Hare 5 - another chance missed and more falling over
Tavares 6 - lively but think we're expecting too much too soon

Frustrating as I thought Luton were comfortably one of the worst teams at the CBS this season, but same old City

And for all his endeavor , vik misses a large amount of relatively simple chances... yes he's scored 12 , but his conversion rate is 17% according to sqwawka ... you'd like to see him improve on this next year

I know o hare has worse but he gets pelters by a few on here , vik gets away with it
