Because he got into the side because one of his teammates was ill. He done his job fine, the number one returns when he is fully fit, that's what happens in football.

And Nick, please reminde me of the goals Burge has cost us, please?

Seem to remember him kicking an opponent to give away a penalty, also remember him diving out the way of a free kick. Without watching all of last season's highlights again, pretty sure there's more.

He hasn't just played this season.

Pboro and crewe last year he shite. This season been lucky not to cost us. But I like the way mowbray playing it. If burge is back in I'll back him as he clearly is a good shot stopper

RCC looked more assured and confident than Burge has at any point this season. Anybody with eyes can see this. In the first 20 minutes he came an successfully caught as many balls as Burge has all season and without dropping them.

Maybe a little bit too.confident, that one second half that was a cross shot he seemed to grab it out of the air without making it look ott

Did have the mishap in the first couple of minutes.

Cooke ... 7 - easy game for the lad and not tested to deserve a higher score.

Stokes ... 6 - solid, Haynes should be pushing later in the season

Reda ...8 - cant fault him , gets excited at times but solid at the back .

Martin ... 8 - playing really well and i hated him last season .

Ricketts ..8 - Very composed and great energy

Fleck ...7 - ran the midfield well .

Vincelot ... 6 - just does his job , but a few stray passes today

Fortune ... 9 - great hold up play , worked wonders for armstrong and kent .

Kent ...7 - should have scored, he is great running at players but final ball and link up play need work

Armstrong ...9 - special little player , great finishes and workrate

Stokes has been hugely consistent and significant in contribution this season.

Why make some snide comment regarding Haynes? Stokes defensively is massively superior to Haynes.

This I agree with G. Stokes bee very good at left back and not sure why it's one position so many want to see change in

RCC did everything that was asked of him but to that wasn't a great deal today. The biggest plus is he seems supremely confident which is an area where Burge appears to struggle.

There are no number ones, just the best players at the moment. Regardless of how he got it RCC has the jersey and has done nothing to lose it.

If we were talking about Armstrong or Vincelot you'd have a point as they've been stand out performers. Burge has not and as such his position is up for grabs.

If we could mirror clone Stokes I'd have him at RB too. Been excellent, far from the first position I'd look at changing.

Thought all played well today. Ok Murphy inconsistent and a fair few mistakes but also in second half some great runs. I'm happy that as a team they are doing the job for each other. Seem to be working v hard to support the runs forward and get back and cover the defence. That's encouraging pusb

100% agreed. Integral.to our promotion chances

Not that Haynes can't do a job when required of course. He may well get a start vs Yeovil

A 6/10 is a good rating. 6/10 to me is doing your job with minimal fuss. How the hell was Johnson anything above doing his job today? A solid performance, nothing more, nothing less.

so Armstrong gets a 6/10 for doing his job ie scoring goals ?? - same stupid logic

I think the ratings should quite rightly be high. It was a very good performance.

No because he went above the required level of performance in his all round play aswell as doing his job which is to score goals.

I guess that RCC might have played against Yeovil anyway.

As the number of allowed changes is limited I can't see Burge for RCC as being a high enough priority whatever the merits or not.
