Moore 5

He’s had better games. Some of his distribution to wing backs puts us under unnecessary pressure. I’m all for quick play to wb when they are clear and a build us on. If it is not, he needs to take his time and hold on to the ball. Conceded 3. No great saves made. Bad office day.

Kane 6

Wasted a few good crossing chances. Not as direct as a Dabo.

Rose 5

Was passed too easily.

Hyam 5

Same

Bidwell 5

Poor in my opinion. Didn’t get back quick enough and at times it was as though he forgot he wasn’t playing wing back.

Maatsen 6

Ok.

Hamer 6

Tried but it’s as though Bournemouth had his number. Was careful not to get booked and it showed.

Sheaf 6

Ok. Nothing spectacular.

Allen 5

Outmuscled. Needed to be subbed.

O'Hare 6

Busy but not his day.

Gyokeres 7

A handful. Literally. Can’t we get shirts that rip so that the Ref can easily be see when he’s being held back? (Satire. I think.).

Subs

Fadz 5

Nearly cost us a goal.

Waghorn 6

Best of the subs

Kelly 5

Meh.

So you honestly think hamer could be on Everton or Leeds radar? Is this a joke?

Possibly to be honest. He'd be a cheap gamble.

There’s next to no chance of him playing English PL football next season.

As usual watching a different game to everyone else.
  1. Maatsen and Kane seemed to me the only ones on top of their game. Joint MOTM Plus Hamer in the first half
  2. Several times, Bournemouth defenders showed O'Hare up for lack of pace - which might reduce his value.
  3. On today's showing Bidwell looked League 1 standard
  4. Waghorn looked to add something and could teach Allen how to hit a dropping ball on target
  5. But Waghorn and Vik are not obvious bedfellows
  6. Allen, O'Hare - lack of end product.
Lack of speed and penetration glaringy obvious, but I still see the back 3 as the biggest weakness..

He’s more likely to end up at Celtic/Rangers or one of the relegated PL clubs.

Wages might be a stumbling block to him going north of the border but could see him joining Norwich as we seem to be a bit of a feeder for them

No idea what the likes of Celtic/Rangers offer but I’m pretty sure they could afford to match those of top end Championship clubs.

I'd guess more one of the promoted sides.

Even if Everton stay up, they'll throw money at superstars.
Leeds/Palace/Southampton may be interested for a cheap option.

The grossly unfair parachute payments will see relegated sides offer more than the old firm sides in my opinion

Moore 6
Kane 6 - some poor bits, some good, better outlet than Maatsen
Maatsen 5 - such a frustrating player, comes inside when he should stretch the game
Hyam 5 - slow in thought and action
Rose 5 - as above
Sheaf 7 - did well first half starting off a lot of our attacks
Hamer 6 - was great for a spell in the first half but anonymous otherwise
O'Hare 6 - as usual the player offering to take the ball in difficult positions and moving their defenders around, didn't really work for him and should have scored his chance
Allen 5 - good running into channels but no real threat
Gyokeres 6 - started well but really struggled second half, looked tired and in retrospect maybe should have just been withdrawn to save his legs at 3-0

Subs
Waghorn 6 - good anticipation and volley but wasn't in the game much as we struggled to break them down
Kelly 7 - actually made some good forward passes when he came on
Mcfadzean 6 - didn't lose any battles with Solanke but nearly let him in due to a misunderstanding

Edit Bidwell 5 - he is not a centre back and his distribution was woeful

Baffles me why some on here think he isn't premier League quality . Only thing he needs to work on is his temperament as he has all the other natural attributes

It's the same lot that didnt think he was top end championship level last year.
Clueless. Time will tell.

He looked a cut above anything on the pitch this season. Today especially first half.

Agree with that, the same could be said of O’hare. He’s sometimes an excellent player, and even with all the work he does off the ball, he‘s also sometimes a below average player. Quite a few of his passes 1st half today were rubbish, and his shooting this season has been mostly poor.

Bidwells a strange one he done well at Swansea and Robins called him a Rolls Royce but so far he has looked like a clapped out Allegro, he looks devoid of confidence or maybe thats just his demeanour, Maatsen also flatters to deceive but he's still young and learning the game if we continue with the same tactics/formation next season we really need better wing back/backs but we also need upgrades in midfield and certainly centre backs Hyam is slow and his distribution is poor Rose loses his man too many times and Fadz is not getting any younger... Today we had a few chances but didn't take any, Gyokeres is being run into the ground because its either him or Waghorn atm but again from our limited squad no matter the outcome they have given us a tremendous ride this season

Champion League, and if we were to sell better to one of those two than a championship competitor.
As for Premiership quality, playing & training with better quality players will enhance his ability, I think he would be okay there.

Hard to judge Bidwell as he's played out of position. I've seen signs of quality though after a slow start and would expect to see the best of him after a solid pre-season

I wasn't at the game so can only go off the highlights but he should really be saving that first header, it's right above his head and is hardly coming at pace.

Moore is amongst the least of our problems at the moment - the defence is shambolic at times.

Paul Telfer too. One of the worst players I have ever seen in my life. I still can't fathom how he made a living as a professional footballer.

Compromising pictures of Strachan? He seemed to follow him all over

From memory didn’t we have a very large offer soon as we signed him from someone and turned it down?

He's not a problem, just think he could have done better with the first. Agreed the defence is a much bigger concern.

It doesn't look like Lowe gets much power on the header and he's falling away from goal. Moore didn't have much time to react mind. It definitely wasn't a mistake but watching the highlights I was a little disappointed he didn't tip it on to the bar.

I have occasionally wondered about whether someone should trial using shirts made of panels of material that are held together by velcro.

Could be interesting!

Yes, Blackburn offered 3 or 4 times more than we'd just paid for him. Telfer really was a strange one - not the slightest bit interested in football, but had a long career and was deemed a bit of a wholehearted player, however else his qualities may have been viewed.

Apparently he could ping a ball when he hit it in a way most other pros couldn't - a bit similar to Hamer these days, but then again Shipley can also ping the ball, so maybe its not a particularly crucial attribute we might think it should be.

Wasn't expecting to Liam Kelly again this season but thought he looked very positive yesterday.
Some nice passes and movement off the ball. Looked to move us up the pitch
