Moore 6 (good early save. Distribution wasn't his usual standard)
Eccles 8 (will do well to hang on to him. He has quality and a cool demeanor. Picked out Maatsen really well for his best chance)
Bidwell 7 (best game for us yet. Defended well)
Hyam 9 motm (he was outstanding. Some great headers from dangerous positions and tackling)
Rose 9 (pace really helps us out. Has to keep his place now barring injury)
Clarke-Salter 8 (defended really well again. Should have done better with headed chance)
Sheaf 8 (some of his distribution was first class, including his assist. His Achilles remains getting caught in possession when close to our penalty area)
Hamer 7 (positionally more disciplined than usual. Some lovely passing. Stupid booking which then impacts his tackling thereafter)
O'Hare 7 (lovely piece of skill leading to Gyokeres opportunity but lost the ball too many times)
Maatsen 8 (looked lively and played some decent passes. Unlucky with two decent strikes, though the latter should have tested the keeper)
Gyokeres 8 (so much work on his own but did so well with minimal support. Lovely pass and move for goal)

Allen 8 (we picked up as a team when he came on. Injected needed energy and linked things together)
Shipley 7 (did okay defensively. Prefer him at LWB than midfield)
Waghorn 6 (disappointing not to have taken any of his chances but he did well getting into the right position and anticipated well)
Jones 6 (didn't make the impact I had hoped for but so pleased for him having a decent run out for change. After his injury woes this must feel so special)
Kane 6 (could have done better for their second but great cross in earlier)

Agree with all this. Yes JCS could/should have done better with late header but defensively would also give him a 9. Sheaf also stood out as mature, calm and strong midfielder. I think over the rest of season he will become our most impressive player.

I thought Sheaf was m-o-m faded a bit the last 10 minutes but showed his pedigree against Premier players.

Sheaf mom for me, does so much work off the ball.
Glad Maatsen, Hamer and O'Hare were taken off and spared extra time. Need a result against Blackpool on Tuesday (will be tough - but we have the ability)

Agree with these ratings, think rose this season is back to his best and if we can keep JCS on a perm this coming pre season,we will have a solid back 5 with bidwell and Kane.
Sheaf immense today against a really good midfield.
Viktor well is Viktor at his best.

Haven’t been on here and don’t want to read anything as I’m sure some people will find negatives in today but so, so proud of us. That first half was as good as I can remember any City team playing in my memory. What a fun team to watch we are. Obviously we should be scoring more than we did (again) but I don’t even care. Boys did us proud. All of them. (Disclaimer, had a couple of drinks)

Sheaf is the best player we’ve had in the last 20 years. Incredible talent.

Some great performances today. Nobody did badly I thought O’hare was outstanding first half.
JCS did well until Broja came on…

Had we taken the good chances we had at 1-0 they weren’t getting back into it.

Compared to the battering received 10 years ago I was still annoyed by the outcome but there was a lot of top football on display and far more cause for optimism.

Nobody gets less than a 6 from me, they really gave all they could and that’s all anyone can reasonably ask.

Vic was an absolute colossus for us and was dead on his feet at 90 minutes. Sheaf quality aswell.

Should of scored atleast one of his 4 chances. Experienced striker who is taking up a fair whack of our wage budget I’d imagine, he was atrocious

He's just come back from injury not that thats an excuse but he now needs match sharpness..he got himself into positions with determination yesterday and fluffed his lines, I cant say I have been overly impressed with him as yet but cut the guy some slack until he is hopefully fitter

Moore - 6: Feel like he’s not been quite right since coming back from injury. Still miles better than Wilson, but not quite as solid as he was, couple of mistakes creeping in.
Hyam/Rose/JCS - 8: That’s our first choice back three now for me. Retire Fadz at the end of the season and get some understudies in. Showed they can do it against a top flight side.
Eccles - 8: Best game I’ve seen from him. Use of the ball was excellent.
Bidwell - 6: Still not seeing it. Looks like the player That QPR fan said he was. At the moment I’d be looking for a new LWB still.
Sheaf - 9: Absolute class
Hamer - 7: One of his better games, needs to cut the silly bookings still as it hampers him
O’Hare - 8: Thought he was excellent, obviously quieter second half.
Maatsen - 7: Shouldve had a goal. I’d start him over Allen in that position. But equally I’d start him over Bidwell right now.
Gyokeres - 8: Took his goal really well, did so much work up there on his own.

Shipley - 6: Can’t remember him doing anything
Waghorn - 6: Got into great positions, missed them all.
Kane - 6: Some shocking crosses. Just twat it at the end son.
Allen - 7: OK but not spectacular
Jones - 6: I literally had to Google who the last sub was, which tells you how much impact he had.

Really harsh on Fadz. Probably with Sheaf been my player of the season. So rarely puts a foot wrong. We need to look to the future and I love all three that played yesterday, but insinuations of binning off possibly our most consistent performer, off the back of one game is very extreme.

More of a note on how good Rose looked at CB TBH. I love Fadz but he won’t last forever so this summer we need to find his replacement. I think we have. Also we have two games a week this month and it’s likely to be too much for him.

Robins wasn’t best pleased either. I was sitting a few rows behind the benches and Jones was on 2 or 3 occasions in great positions out wide on the left and turned back, playing the ball backwards instead when he had chances to get the ball in the danger area.

Maybe so but when shots were being missed by nearly every player on both sides.
There was 32 shots in that game only 13 on target and only 3 scored. So its not just a Waghorn issue most of the shots came from Prem players.
You need to look at there overall performance other wise strikers would only get one point a majority of the time.
