Burge 7 - Couple of errors, but overall safe hands and a couple of decent saves and he clung on to everything too.

Willis 7 - Very steady game from the captain and he supported the attack well.

Clarke 7 - No nonsense, won everything in the air and kept the defence organised. It's only his lack of pace that concerns me. Skinned too easily by pacy players.

Rawson 8 - Thought he was excellent and my MOTM (second game in a row). Shame he's only a loan. He's everything that Turnbull isn't.

Haynes 7 - Thought he handled his defensive duties well. Some good tackling and his positioning was much better for the most part.

Thomas 6 - Great goal, but rather quiet besides. You can't deny his workrate though. Never gives in, never stops running.

Bigi 6 - Awful in the first half, much better in the second, but gave the ball away far too often. I am sure it was at least 5 times and they weren't even difficult passes to make. Very worrying, because you keep doing that you WILL be punished.

Reilly 5 - Nothing seemed to come off for him today. Another error riddled player and should have scored when put through on goal.

Jones 6 - Worked tirelessly, but when he did put a cross over he over hit it. He did prove to be nuisance though to the Bristol defence.

Reid 6 - Quiet and nothing like the player he was in the first half in Tuesday. One thing that worried me today was how many times he got knocked off the ball. If you look at him he's quite a stocky, well built player, so he should be able to hold his own in tussles and challenges.

Beavon 7 - Worked so hard and it took a very good save from the keeper to prevent a goal. Nice interplay too at times.

We all know of his talent. It's just that he hardly ever shows it.

He should be producing so much more and in the numerous the games where he doesn't do any of the great little passes he offers next to nothing and is merely a passenger.

Too many players this season have failed to produce what they are capable of on anything like a regular basis (Reid, Lameiras, Bigi etc.)

I love lameiras on the ball but his tracking back and chasing abs pressurising the ball from the front is not good at all. Even today

What he needs is games, the system to suit him and play as a 10 IMO
I don't think it will happen for him here, otherwise Jones wouldn't have started that position ahead of him today.

He's out of contract in a few weeks anyway so it's a moot point, but I'd definitely start him at Wembley.

Most of the season our team have played like statues with no movement in the opposition half early last season Lameries was making passes like that 1 today many times to great effect because we had willing runners off the ball

I don't think It's who starts he (Robins) is having a look at the whole squad with a view to who he keeps. He might keep more than a lot of people on here think

Needed a proper manager to sort them out though, they both looked like a pair of clowns under Slade.

As I keep saying Otis...he needs to be given a lot more playing time. How many songs can you get on a 45 rpm??

Ironically I thought Thomas was our poorest performer yesterday then scored a superb goal. He looked a bit jaded but kept working hard and it payed off. Overall a very good game by the team; well organised and worked hard to help cover each other. Reid a lot quieter than Tuesday. Yet still demanded ball to the final whistle. Bigi indifferent first half but kept battling and a lot went through him second half. Burge couple of times rooted but more solid than usual. And at last centre halves who do the job. The team gaining in confidence and playing for robins.

Very well taken, as was the Checkatrade one.
So the technique is there, just seems to need more belief to notch those 15-20 a season.

I have criticised Thomas BUT he is about the only one making runs atm, if he was more clinical in the finishing department I would say keep him, in the short time he played with the Yak he got 2 chances provided and he finished them both maybe I have been a little harsh on him but after a very very ordinary game yesterday he again made a run for Lameiras to pick out and again he scored perhaps with the right players around him he would be an asset to the side but he is quite a slow player and at times we need pace...hope the lad proves me very wrong
