First time I have seen City this season and my comments will allow that this was an improved performance on what has been played this season.

I think the OP is pretty good with his assessment but to be perfectly honest it is irrelevant how individuals perform. They are doing their best but Bristol beat us without breaking sweat. They just stood off and let us have the ball and room to play it in which is why we dominated.

Yet every time they decided to do something they looked dangerous. Their goal came from only their second attack and our defence parted like the red sea. It was woeful including from the GK and demonstrated a brittleness that will be punished regularly. If Bristol had been bothered it could easily been more.

We could have played all night and never scored. Their defence was completely comfortable while we played it around in midfield doing absolutely nothing.

The reason for this is simple. There is absolutely no PACE in the side. There is no one to get beyond his man and create problems. It doesn't matter what level of football you are at that is fundamental.

Finally I have to say something about Webster. Bristol scored from two headers in the middle of the box and he never got anywhere near either. He constantly gave Pennington shocking passes to deal with and yet towards the end he was constantly bollocking the lad. He is a wanker.

This could be cut and pasted from any review of Cov games against Bristoil in the last 8 years or so.

As Steven Pressley would say, Webster performed like an international player last night. A San Marino international player.

Having travelled over from Singapore I nearly didn't get into the game because they weren't selling tickets to Cov fans and there was no cash turnstile. Eventually got in but had to sit with the Brizzle fans on the half way line of the Dolman stand.

anyway, I think we played pretty well except where it counts, the two penalty boxes. Webster and the goalie need replacing as do the two strikers. Felt sorry for Pennington as Webster kept passing him hospital balls and the Brizzle players were doubling up on Pennington trying to exploit his inexperience. Overall I thought all the players were up for it and tried a lot harder than Bristol who were very fortunate to take the lead. Not sure what else SP could have done except maybe bring on Nouble earlier or from the start.

Well it's not even Xmas and already the season is over bar a relegation struggle. I really hope someone can take over from SISU and make some much needed investment.

Top marks to the city fans last night. They made a right old noise and the BCFC fans were very quiet.

I'm not too sure if these points have been raised already but a few things scare the hell out of me at the minute with Pressley:
-He clearly has no confidence in his own ability as manager, he is constantly changing formations. When he first arrived he was all about the pressing game high up the pitch, when did we last see this?
-He feels Reda Johnson can play at left back? Look at the Bristol forwards on Weds, big strong lads, Reda is the strongest and probably best CB we have yet we decide not to play him CB and instead LB.
-Another thing that I have to question is his constant praise for Madine, I really do not see what the lad brings us, especially when he plays ahead of Nouble. I know Nouble can be lazy but his ability is far superior to Madines.
-Pressley has obviously lost a lot of the dressing room, leaving a player of Simeon Jacksons ability out of the squad is just scandalous I really feel he could hit 15 goals in this league easily, him with Nouble up top and fleck just behind them creating chances would be deadly.
- Look at Shaun Millers interview today, pretty obvious he is not happy with how he has been treated.
- I spend a lot of time at the Academy down at the Higgs, it is scary how much more comfortable some of the lads down there seem to be, some of the football I witness there is of a very very high standard.
I am not sure if I am wanting Pressley to go or not, I just feel he doesn't know the manager he is anymore he seems to be constantly experimenting, and in our position currently that is very very risky!

San Marino international? I wish our supporters would stop trying to make our players sound better than they really are.

Being a Scotish international is probably worse than being a San Marino player.
