Bassette drops further from the first team. Must have been one hell of a moan.

Wearing the number 17 shirt - if we were Birmingham City we'd have retired it.

Last two players I can remember wearing it for us were Gyokeres and O'Hare in the League 1 season, good omen?

I think it was Gunnarsson as well.

If you believe Saddle, he's been training the whole time but has the fitness of a 6 year old with Asthma

Don't underestimate how much fitness is required to be competitive Championship level? Most of our fans couldn't run a hundred yards let alone sprint it.

He is still a long way off. Some fans are putting a mythical quick fix, due to poor form, before reality.

He was never going to play more than 5 minutes this season off the bench. Don't write him off just park him in your expectations.

Not in the U21s squad tonight so must still be a way off, starts for Bassette and Tavares.

They both need to keep ticking over with game time. As for Rodriguez, don't pannick. He is nowhere near and not sure why you thought he would be?

I would expect him to have the aerobic capacity to play some part of an U21 game by now yes

He's been training on the grass, seen in the latest photos from the club.

Excellent, he seems to have morphed into R9 from circa 1994 in this picture.

As soon as his granny lungs are oxygenated, he can terrorise defenders.

He's from Australia don't forget. Takes them a while to acclimatise to European gravity.

That part of the training ground is a tribute to HR circa 1952.

One of our more bizarre signings FFS. Hes a young man who has played a reasonable standard of football…..but after nearly 4 months at CCFC ….he’s supposedly miles away from fitness……

Still think he might be our secret weapon in the 2nd half of the season.

Well he was injured for a large portion of that, so might be worth waiting a little while longer to make the call…

He’s a low risk punt, probably costing us less than Hilßner.

I’m sure it turned out Hilssner was on a hefty wage for the time, back when we had club level ITKs

Salaries were measured in Wagehorns in those days. Don’t have a conversion chart on me.
