There’s nothing really to Celtic this year and it’ll me much worse when Maeda goes his work rate is incredible

Don’t know about that but I’d have a look at that Louza lad from Watford he looked really impressive yesterday

He's coming in Jan too.
We could take any player from the Old Firm if we pay, not that there's many worth taking in honesty.

It's crazy how their board have not managed to completely take a stranglehold with rangers falling and no one else having the resources as it is plus all the money they got from Europe and champions league etc.

I wonder if they will go big(spl wise) in January?

Should have happened in the summer. They have penny pinched for too long but whilst titles were being won it wasn’t really a problem and they haven’t done much in Europe for a long time

Hope Hearts can sustain this run and win the title, getting boring with Celtic winning the title every season.

The thread is essentially a massive dunk on Scottish football. Which I’m on board with because some Scottish fans can be pretty insufferable, but as I have also said often, I find it sad that a proud and football mad part of the world has fallen this badly.

Its not the Scottish fans i find that insufferable tbh. Its the English fans that have a Scottish team based on their religious leanings that still think the SPL is a decent standard and think the likes of Kyogo are world class etc that irk me!

Watched the game yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it - The neutral North of the border should want Hearts to keep this up as I, as I am sure many others are are excited at the prospect of a proper title race in Scotland, it would be the best thing in terms of viewership to happen to Scottish Football in ages - and, as crazy as it sounds as they have been so poor - if Rohl can get Rangers firing a three way title race can't be ruled out, Hearts may well drop more points than a dominant Celtic side would and the 12 points that Rangers are behind them could theoretically easily be made up with 87 left to play for, that is obviously dependant on Rangers finding some consistent form however

Rodgers looks and sounds like he has mentally checked out of Celtic for me, I wouldn't be surprised to see him angle for a job down here again and for Ange to be back up there by the summer at the very latest

He was great at Leicester when we had Strachan. I always wished we had him instead

He was good down The Villa, had them pushing for the Top 4 until Randy Lerner decided he didn’t want to bankroll it anymore and pulled the plug so he resigned to protect his own reputation

always going to happen

he's pissed off with the board, they are pissed off with him

there's been discontent towards him as well given that even taking into account the lack off decent signings has got the team playing slow, full and ponderous football that isn't working

o'neill is a celtic legend who won loads back whden rangers were actually alive and good and may get the team playing faster and more direct

Part of me thinks Ange is the perfect fit to go back there part of me thinks as we have just seen at Forest, due to his style of football being so radical he is simply not a manager you can just parachute in mid season

Can’t be many times they’ve both had a manager leave mid season?

it's really not, they just need someone the fans love to steady the ship while they try and get the appointment of a new manager right and o'neill is a celtic legend with honours won by the truckload

he's not going to be the permanent new manager and it's not just him

8pts not enough to close the book imo especially in Scotland where old firm teams can go on long win streaks and 3 more head to head games too

But yesterday was first time I've probably watched a hearts game live in the spl and that's because of the league table so long may it continue

O’Neill was on TalkSport literally this afternoon claiming Hearts are going to win the League… 8hrs later he is in charge (albeit temporarily) of their main title rivals

Couldn’t make it up! Has all the hallmarks of a roll of the dice to keep the fans sweet

Haha that's crazy

Big Ange would make sense. Celtics dominance has come from playing great football under last 2 managers . I think they need to get next manager right or others will catch up

Still hope both then and rangers make playoffs round of Europa. Imagine an old firm derby in Europe?!

nowhere near enough, as said celtic play hearts 3 more times in the league so there's a 9 point potential swing without taking into account there games against other teams

it really depends on what Celtic do in january

I’ve no horse to back, I don’t care for either of them but I would not be opposed to seeing a properly entertaining down to the wire season up there - Would make for great viewing
