On now. Been interesting so far.

Bill Kenwright just said "Football clubs are a trophy. You don't buy a football club to make money, believe me".

He did qualify that by saying the exception was the Glazier approach.

Got to look at our plight within that context. Given that we are saddled with owners who are entirely business, not sport focused.

Indeed. How I wish they would share with us their vision! Obviously the original one was to get promoted then sell us to someone as a "trophy"-or possibly one of the crooks like Brum and Pompey got saddled with, who just saw The Premiership as a cash-cow to be abused.

Just said that Venkys paid 40-50m for Blackburn. So if that is the going rate for a lower-mid table Premiership club, how can SISU expect someone to pay 30m for a struggling Championship club? It's just terrible value. They're business-men, can't they see this?

Also said the most attractive thing for the Man C owners was the stadium-giving them a huge edge over, say, Everton when it came to choosing who to buy. So I suppose that stadium would make a huge difference to our attractiveness if we owned it-whilst, similarly, not owning it is a huge negative when it comes to interesting/attracting buyers.

They're talking stadia more after the 8pm news.

To be fair they've shared their vision repeated times: make the club break even.

That's it. Once there they'll look for buyers I'd assume, though they've never said this.

The problem is how do you do this, they obviously think that they can do it by cutting the squad down to a bare minimum and only spending when we absolutely have to. They'll still be waiting for MacDonald to start proving his worth before any other money is released I'd guess.

Interesting ,the views regarding shared occupation of a stadium betwen the scousers fans ignorance and tribalism ,holding them back when they'd both be stronger within the division for it,man city only paid £20m. for the stadium

Interesting, the Uefa Financial Fairplay has a 6 year safety-net before break-even is required. Whats the odds the Football League will take a similar approach? Boy would Kens face be red then..well, a reddy-shade of orange, anyway.

Man City lease the stadium for £3m a year from the council. The £20m is the amount the council got from the £400m naming rights.

Maybe SISU's thinking was "If we buy this we can turn it into a trophy some Multi-Billionaire will buy from us at a stupid price"
