Can people name the top 10 most popular sports in the world without using any reference books or the internet?


Guess the top 10 and if possible, also list in order of popularity.

Obviously football is in there and sitting proudly at no. 1.

Not sure in order but football american football baseball basketball rugby cricket ice hockey boxing snooker darts. That's a guess by the way

American Football, no. Ice hockey, no. Boxing, no. Snooker, no and darts, no.

Baseball, basketball, rugby and cricket are in there though.

What place in the top 10 you think?

Do you mean popular as in audience or participation? I think fishing's high up the participation list if it's included as sport.

4. Ice Hockey - No
5. Rugby League - No.
6. Cycling - No.
7. American Football - No.
8. Baseball - YES. Not 8th though.

Just looked for 10 most popular. Three sources all came up with the same list, but they didn't quantify the criteria. Fishing isn't in there.

Am guessing they mean in terms of participation rather than audience figures.
