City youngster in goal for Doncaster trip?
Rumours abound that Coventry City will start with Michael Quirke tonight in goal at Doncaster Rovers

The young Coventry born and City supporting keeper who was the Covsupport News Service - Coventry City U18's Player Of The Season last season, has already appeared for City's first team this season against Watford when he came on to replace the injured Iain Turner.

With City not having a reserve team playing competitive football, Quirke has been on loan at Nuneaton Town after recovering from a hand injury.
Danny Ireland has been already ruled out of the game at the Keepmoat Stadium.

We can only wish him well. It's good to see a genuine Coventry kid in the first team it's just a shame it's been forced on us really!

Well whatever happens, lets hope it's no worst than Saturday. Did all right at Watford, so I hope he can do the same tonight. I did predict he would play tonight. Goes to show what state the club is in when we can't even bring in an emergency loan.

Reminds me of when Flowers finally got to put the city shirt on, never forget the 5 games he played for us. If it is Quirke tonight I hope he has a good game!

Good luck to him! Shame we havent brought anyone in as with the team playing as they are, and when we're leaking goals like we are, I think if we concede a few goals again tonight, we'll only be denting Quirkes confidence!!

Saying that, players only get match experience by playing at the highest level possible!!

Quirke had a really good game tonight, held his own and was confident. Put him on a 10 year contract

Well done to the lad, shame the back four didn't cut out that long ball Coz he'd have himself a clean sheet.
