Shane Long has scored after 7 seconds, breaking the previous record of 10 seconds held by Ledley King 19 years ago.
Is that the quickest top flight goal ever or has that record been deleted by the Sky revisionists?
There have been faster goals in the lower leagues but not the top flight
Fair enough, it's the incessant branding that gets me, it is no longer "The fastest top flight goal" but the fastest Premier League goal. FUCK OFF.
Crazy...Thats even quicker than i shag the misses..........Shane Long has scored after 7 seconds, breaking the previous record of 10 seconds held by Ledley King 19 years ago.

I think it's harder now though because the standard of defenders and goal-keepers has gone up considerably since the days when the top flight was 95% British players. The BBC did a piece on whether anyone will match the 260 prem goals Alan Shearer scored the other day. The main body of the text even mentioned he scored 23 times for Soton in the top league but they don't count presumably because that division didn't have the right name.
Is this a serious post? In the 70s and early 80s English clubs ruled EuropeI think it's harder now though because the standard of defenders and goal-keepers has gone up considerably since the days when the top flight was 95% British players.
