I’m completely sick of reading all the bickering on here. I reminds me so much of Life of Brian, where the People’s Front for Judea and the Judean People’s Front fight each other instead of the Romans.

TIME’S RUNNING OUT. We’ve only got a week before the best opportunity we’ll ever have to draw attention to our plight.

As it stands, City fans will be split 3 ways – 1000 in the ground (bearing in mind it’s on the TV), a few hundred on the hill, and maybe a few hundred at a screening in Cov. I would respect all three, but I don’t think any of them would attract any worthwhile publicity.

I say LET’S TURN ONTHE COMMON ENEMY. As far as I’m concerned the FOOTBALL LEAGUE and the FA have stood shamefully by while this whole disaster has unfolded. The League’s “Real Fans” slogan is a bad joke. According to another thread, they may even have changed their rules in the summer to make their lives easier, while we suffered.

So regardless of your views on SISU/CCC/ACL, please answer the following ...

1) Do you agreed that the Football League has let us down? YES or NO.

2) Would you support the following idea? YES or NO.

EVERYONE (including Season Ticket holders) watches the match at public screenings in Cov. Special seats at the front for the kids and those with disabilities. No anti-SISU or anti-ACL activity, just noisy support for the Sky Blues. Meanwhile, just a few people go to Sixfields to display MASSIVE banners all around the ground and on the hill:-

REAL FANS BETRAYED BY THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

SWEET FA

SENT TO NORTHAMPTON! (geddit?)

If we can get a few Sheff Utd. fans to have the banners too, that would be brilliant. The TV broadcast will have virtually no people in the background, no fighting or half-baked protests. JUST THE MESSAGES

And which of the 4 ideas is the least divisive and most effective? You didn't answer - YES or NO.

I'd also add an 'I LIKE BACON' banner for a laugh.

What?! A whole week to make a couple of dozen big banners and to put on screenings that were already being planned. Assuming it can be done, YES or NO?

You could've added an actual poll to this thread. YES YES NO NO what was the question again?

My God, this forum is so negative. Sorry it was so confusing. OK - ONE QUESTION (and if anyone knows how to conduct an "actual poll", please do so):-

WOULD YOU SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING IDEA? YES or NO.

EVERYONE (including Season Ticket holders) watches the match at public screenings in Cov. No anti-SISU or anti-ACL activity, just noisy support for the Sky Blues. Meanwhile, just a few people go to Sixfields to display MASSIVE banners all around the ground to embarrass the Football League and the FA into action, such as

REAL FANS BETRAYED BY THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE
SWEET FA
SENT TO NORTHAMPTON!

Would you be open to visiting Sixfields and displaying the massive banners?

Rich, your previous post seems to have disppeared - thank you (no offence intended or taken). With regard to the banners, I'd love to but I have chronic health problems, and I'll leave it to someone younger and more photogenic! It only needs a small number of people.

There's always a danger of arguments arising in every post. To avoid this descending into another slanging match, I hope people will continue to respond with a single word – YES or NO.

You did say: -

EVERYONE (including Season Ticket holders) watches the match at public screenings in Cov.

So your post wasn't just about a couple of banners.

So in a previous ranting thread that you started, when you stated that you wouldn't go to Sixfields if we paid you. This isn't because you are able but unwilling it's actually because you are unable. I guess on that basis you would be unable to visit the Ricoh either.

With said chronic health problems that are so debilitating that you can't visit a football ground and sit down for 105 minutes how do you propose that you would get Banners manufactured and distributed and arrange a screening for 10,000 people?

This whole thread really is drivel thats just a load of make believe. It could never become a reality and probably should've stayed in your head.

JD on Free Radio cocked the morning up for me when he said "It's a miserable day outside, It's raining and horrible." I thought what a fantastic way to start the day. Don't worry it's chippy friday at lunch so I'll be happier the nearer we get to Mid-day.

Yes, i I will be at Sixfields with a massive banner anyway, along with many more I suspect. I can not see many joining a protest in Cov, unlike the march which was well organised.
Get to Sixfields everyone.

I can see a problem in this, and thats uniting the fans in a common cause. I will happily stay away from Sixfields so it can be said I am doing my bit!

Rich, I think your responses to me today as a moderator have been a total disgrace. With all the bile and dross that appears on here every day, you single out my thread? Your first response was clearly sarcasm, and when I said it was “negative” your reply (which was deleted shortly afterwards) called my post “crappy”, and told me in no uncertain terms to “go back where I came from”.

You then replaced your rant with a BLATANT attempt to put me into the anti-SISU camp, by asking if I was prepared to go to Sixfields with a banner. What sort of moderator takes a reasoned thread and deliberately tries to turn it into another confrontation?

You’re right, I will NEVER go to Northampton to watch a “home” match in the ordinary way – but I’d go there (and pay to get in if necessary) to support a well-organised protest. If you read my posts, you’ll see that I’ve been really critical of ALL the parties – ACL/SISU/League/FA. Don’t try and label me as “NOPM” or any other faction.

Of course I wasn’t proposing to make the banners myself and arrange the screenings – I was putting an idea out there that I hoped the Trust or somebody could run with if it got enough support. Regarding getting directly involved, I have a disability (which you don’t need to know about) and poor health, which would genuinely make it very difficult. For you to question that is a thoughtless and ignorant insult.

In suggesting that ST holders watched in Cov, I just thought it would be great to recreate the atmosphere of a home match for all City fans, rather than dividing us into “anti-SISU” people in Coventry and “anti-ACL /pro-Club” people at Northampton. But of course, I have no problem whatsoever with ST holders going to Sixfields for the match, and it would be great if they (along with anyone who wants to go to the hill or watch on a big screen in Cov) could display banners trying to force the FA and the League to DO SOMETHING and ARBITRATE in this dispute.

WestEndAgro – I’m pleased you’re taking a banner, and just hope you can get it in front of the cameras. I also hope the words are designed to solve the problem, not divide City fans. Our best chance is to stop the civil war and go for the League and the FA.

Rich, I’m taking up your kind invitation from this morning to leave the forum. I may come back and have a read occasionally just to check that it’s still full of pointless bickering. Very funny sometimes though

ARBITRATION NOW!
(now there’s an idea for a banner)

Not a flounce mate, just a very rational decision not to waste any more time. I’ll keep reading this post though, for obvious reasons. And before you come back with a hilarious joke such as “welcome back”, I’ll be cancelling my account later when I’ve got time to work out how to do it.

Hate to rain on your parade but when I last looked at getting Sky for the staff room the charges for Sky were based on the number of people likely to see the content and I think charging for entry was banned.

People seem to think that as a mod I'm not allowed an opinion. At the end of the day I am a Cov fan first and foremost and I'm aloowed to voice my opinion along with anyone else.

I don't believe in this SISU in, SISU out shite. Personally I just want the club back home in Cov in a stadia that they own regardless of who owns the club. TBH I couldn't give a monkeys if SISU own the club, we get back to the Championship and we have our own ground. I'll support anyone that runs the club in an acceptable manner in the future and it doesn't matter if that's SUSI or AUNTY.

Oh and I've had some chips, it's nearly home time and I'm playing Golf twice this weekend Happy Rich
