If you listened to Sports Lounge today, you will have heard our major announcement. Big Ron Atkinson will be on the show on Thursday April 16th! Huge moment for me personally, and the show. I used to do Big Ron's accounts although I never got to meet him. His company was called CC39 because apparently he thought he was a Champagne Charlie and he was born in 1939.

Anyway here's another question for you Liam: "Ron - you're not very tall so why do they call you Big Ron? Were you longer in the shower than Dion Dublin?"

IMO Atkinson was one of the worst managers the club has had in my 55 years following the club, given the money he was provided with and wasted. I believe he sowed many of the seeds of the club`s later financial troubles.
Contrary to an earlier post he did not have unbroken success before joining City. He came to us after a huge winless run at Villa and I should think they were as glad to see the back of him as I was when he left City.
